NATIONAL PUBLIC RADIO ^ | David Folkenfilk
So .. "national public radio" a news organization started by and funded by the state, (aka state funded radio) claims they are false accused of being what they are, as written on their own platform. This is bias inception. Also, this is about the 100th time this garbage has been posted. Please don't click that link, please don't read any further. Just blow raspberries at me. Thank you for time, DISMISSED
  • Obama Mocked Special Olympics Kids & Kanye West, Yet The WH Calls Halperin's Words Inappropriate

Obama is apparently thin skinned, given the response from the White House that MSNBC's Mark Halperin's words concerning Obama were "inappropriate" yet he can call Kanye West a jackass, and make fun of Special Olympics kids carte blanche. Otoh, there seems to be something in the water at MSNBC: first Ed [Sergeant] Schultz gets suspended for popping off at the mouth (par for the course for him) and now Halperin is suspended, and both in almost rapid fire succession. Who's next at MSNBC? What was missed in all of the hubbub is that Halperin correctly pointed out that Obama has...

Why does anybody support George w Bush as President? He is clearly the worst President I have ever seen -- a complete disaster. And before you say anything, I have been a registered Republican for 25 years.

The fall of communism 14 years ago was not the end of history, despite Francis Fukuyama's famous prediction. It was, though, pretty much the end of the argument, in most of the world, about the best way to organize society. The answer (despite quibbles over the details and a surprisingly resilient minority preference for theocracy) is democratic capitalism. But this intellectual victory for the dynamic duo didn't resolve the tension between them. Democracy presumes and enshrines equality. Capitalism not only presumes but requires and produces inequality. How can you have a society based on equality and inequality at the same...

Massachusetts announced yesterday that it would fight on in court to try to toughen the sanctions against Microsoft in the company's long-running antitrust case. Seven other states and the District of Columbia said they would not appeal a federal judge's order earlier this month, which did little to strengthen a settlement reached last year between the Bush administration and Microsoft. West Virginia said it would decide on Monday, the deadline for deciding whether to appeal. Advertisement Tom Reilly, the attorney general of Massachusetts, called the order by Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly a "loophole-filled deal" and a mere "slap on the wrist"...
