Officers were called to the hospital around 7:10 p.m. on Monday for the report of vandalism. They arrived and learned a single gunshot had been fired from inside the secured pediatric unit. United States Border Patrol agents say they arrested a US citizen Monday who tried to cross into the US illegally by driving his truck through the Rio Grande. Agents say they saw the man walking along the south side of the border barrier near Fonseca Drive and Cesar E. Chavez highway. Agents say he was taken into custody for illegal entry. When agents checked his records, they discovered he had an extensive criminal history and an active warrant out of Wichita, Kansas, for murder.

Kansas Citians had their eyes to the sky Thursday evening, trying to get a glimpse of two mysterious white, spherical objects floating over the city. The National Weather Service of Kansas City brought attention to the matter just before 8 p.m. and posted a photo to Twitter, adding it had “no explanation” for the small orbs.

QuikTrip convenience stores added good guys with guns in Wichita, Kansas, and the results were so good that they are expanding the program to stores in other areas. Joseph Randle was arrested early Friday morning in Wichita, Kansas, and charged with rape, the latest run-in with authorities for the former Cowboys running back.
