To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, or that we are to stand by the president right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public. Teddy Roosevelt (7 May 1918)
YES, I voted for Bush (reluctantly) more so to prevent a traitorous SOB for occupying the White House, then for GW.
I am an Independent Conservative Patriot who gave up his Republican affiliation in 1975 after that wuss Ford, refused to come to the aid of the South Vietnameseas was his right, duty, and obligationand allowed the North to conquer the South, thereby, consigning hundreds of thousands of Vietnamese to being thrown in re-education camps, tortured and murdered; many of whom were acquaintances, and quite of few, who friends of mine, having served there for 18 months.
And while I support some the Presidents policies and positions, woe be the one who dares tell me I CANNOT criticize himor anyone elsewhen I believe he is wrong!
I will "remind" that person of what I wrote Senator (RINO) McSwine in a letter I sent him last year after he suggested that everyone should refrain from raising Vietnam as an issue: I told him he was a hypocrite and as far as I (and ALL other Nam Vets were concerned) we had EARNED the right to criticize Kerry, or whoever else we wanted to, including him, McCain!!!!
