US Navy veteran 1968-1972, deployed with three days notice in April 1972 to Vietnam for the North Vietnamese Easter offensive. Served on Destroyer that provided Naval Gunfire support below and above the DMZ. Ship sustained minor shrapnel on several occasions from shore artillery.
