The changing language used by the Ukrainian military in 72 hours of daily updates tells the story: “Ongoing defensive fighting.” “Significantly worsened.” Russian “tactical success.”
You rarely ever hear Kyiv’s top brass sounding downbeat, but their steep southerly trajectory reflects the grave place Ukraine finds itself in. Russia is not just advancing slowly in one place; it appears to be advancing in four, across the frontline.
Moscow knows it is on the clock: in about a month, the $61billion of US military aid will start to translate into Ukraine having the weapons it has been begging for. So, Russian President Vladimir Putin seems to be throwing whatever he can at it, knowing the fight will likely only get tougher for his forces in the summer ahead.
First, and most acutely troubling, is the northern border near Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second city. Russian forces have crossed the border in multiple locations and claim to have seized nine villages. Their move 3 to 4.5 miles (5 to 7 kilometers) into Ukraine, in the border area above Ukraine’s second city of Kharkiv, is arguably their fastest advance since the first days of the war. Russia has thrown five battalions at the border town of Vovchansk, Ukrainian officials said, which has been hit hard by airstrikes over the weekend.

Understand that this is the first war of the battle between central banking systems. On one side, the US and the 1st world with the Dollar. On the other side BRICs.
Russia was supposed to “shock and awe” and take over Ukraine in 60 days. Then Russia could use the power and oil production to blackmail the EU to stay out of the China / Taiwan conflict. But that did not happen.
Now Russia is caught in a costly battle over control over Crimea. China wont push Taiwan because they know that they cant fight the entire world.
So we are at a stalemate that will continue to consume men, ammo, and body parts.

The Ukraine is not receiving $61 Billion dollars of weapons. Most of the funds go to defense contractors who already made and delivered weapons without Congressional approval. Some of it is to replenish US supplies of weapons. 10 Billion won’t go far among the Ukrainian elites, particularly Zelensky.
I just watched a video by Alexander Mercurous wherein he describes the Ukrainian’s most recent moves which reflect growing panic as the Russians continue to roll through and take control of villages.

He notes which information comes from Ukrainains, Russians, NATO, US etc. - I find his videos do a good job of trying to ‘balance’ reporting by giving as many points of view, gently chiding sources on all sides for likely exaggeration when it seems merited.

This is some massive cope by CNN (Deep State, et. al.).
The world is growing and evolving. major nations just done take over other countries for conquest. You don’t see any other major European powers like France, Germany and England trying to take over themselves or other countries that is in the past. You don’t see Japan anymore trying to take over China or even China trying to invade and take over Japan. Other than Backwards Islamic societies and Russia these things are just very rare. The world will be a much better and safer place when Russia learns the lessons that it will eventually learn.
