What is so surprizing about this.
Government bureacrats has always slanted their rports to get their way.
From WACO to Ruby Ridge to clean air act, to U.N. reports.
Congress can be so easily led by these reports

It was attempted fraud and the persons involved should be arrested.

Why can't the U.S. let the Canadians worry about the Canadian lynx, anyway?

Why was it done then, praytell?

If it comes from government it's either:
1) An absolute, monolithic, bald-faced, total lie.
2) A tissue of lesser lies glued together with snippets of truth.
3) A bizarre mixture of lunacy, accidental truth and lies.

admitted they planted the samples and said they wanted to test whether the lab could identify lynx fur. What? They were worried that the previous data might not be accurate?
They said if it is found that the intent was to skew the study
the agency is confident the lynx count has not been tainted
Too late. This study is now junk.
No amount of review of the data will ever prove it is accurate.
Can them! This type of falsification of data should not be tolerated by the scientific community.
May they never find a job in their selected field again.

They said if it is found that the intent was to skew the study, the biologists should be fired."Fired"?
This country is so far down the toilet that I am convinced more than ever that it's hopeless.

Well, well, well. About time the AP picked up on this.
The Washington Times (only newspaper i read regularly) had a breaking story about this Dec 4th. There have been several followup letters to the editor about all this, and some follow up news stories as well.
Look for Audrey Hudson on the byline.

You should see how they count Manatees in FL, and assign deaths to what cause. Instead of died - other they have died - must have been a boat.
And for the 1000 pound manatees, well, we close all the waters under two feet deep so they won't get hit by a boat. Figure that one out if you can.

UPSET? And they'll huff and they'll puff and they won't even blow down the straw house. Does anyone think anything will be done about this?

"These offenses minimally amount to professional malfeasance of the highest order,"This is probably the same tactic used by the Dep't of Fish and Game that trespassed on that California farmer's land and ostensibly "FOUND"some bones that they CLAIMED were those of some stupid rare kangaroo rat. They penalized that poor farmer worse than if he had killed a bunch of people!
I'll bet that if there were any such bones there, they were planted by the same type of gubmn't crooks!

The seven biologists -- three from the Forest Service, two from the Fish and Wildlife Service and two from the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife Just wanted to remind you Sheep out there, that you just gave these five "biologists" a five percent pay raise, effective today (1/1/02). Congratulations, suckers.

One or two guys in a single area I can believe is a conspiracy of a few greens, multiple federal employees in different departments? This is not a conspiracy, it is an agenda by the federal government. Firing is not an option, hard time in prison and a congressional hearing is what should have been done. The fact that it just got swept under the rug is a very big danger sign. I got a suggestion that will save the government billions. Just put chain link fences around all city limits, it will be much cheaper than trying to fence all the forests

These biologists are trying to protect you. Without the lynx, snowshoe hares would overrun your property and carry your children off in the dead of night.

My Ma always said that you should get the beam outa your eye before you try to find the grain of sand in your buddy's eye.
Point is that corruption is rampant in Congress and they want to fire a fish and game person who may be telling the truth about a friggin wild cat. Anybody needs firin' it's that guy from NJ - Tourtuchelli.
