Americans Shocked After Gas Pump Says Sorry You’ve Reached Your ‘Fuel Limit’
Patriot Newsfeed ^ | March 22, 2022 | Alex Miller

Posted on 03/22/2022 5:21:38 PM PDT by Wish2Post

The image went viral after it was posted by Katie Greifeld from Bloomberg News whose social media bio says she lives in New York City.

According to the image posted by Greifeld, she was fueling up her vehicle at what appears to be an Exxon station. When the pump hit 7.360 gallons it cut off and said that she has reached her fueling limit.

This is what communist countries do. This is what the Democrats are turning our country into. 2022 may be our last chance to stand up to them and stop this!!! https://t.co/afNifx8SYo

— Robby Starbuck (@robbystarbuck) March 21, 2022

Greifeld, a liberal journo, hasn’t said much more about her viral photo and it is assumed that she filled up another vehicle on the same day that prompted the message.

The question is who imposed the prompt? The gas station or the bank?

What is bizarre is that no one is offering an explanation.

I’m guessing this is actually just a new feature that tells the customer what transaction amount the pump authorized from the bank

That's probably the right explanation.

Your food, medicine, travel, banking, and freedom to associate will also be limited based on determined credits from government agencies which mandate and regulate such rules thru the retail points of service.

Hmmm...

Guess I’ll be faced with such an issue when I stop and fill both my van (30-gal) and my bass-boat’s two 15-gal tanks...

Zero pity.

The odd/even rules were in effect in Texas in the early 70’s.

I had the pump cut off (local JD’s) recently when I reached $75. I asked the gal inside what was up. She did not know and another guy in the store said he has heard that happening a few times recently but didn’t know why as well.

Out of curiosity, to see if it was my bank, I went to another station and topped off the last 3 or 4 gallons with no issue.

The station does a “pending” charge on your card to make sure you don’t overdraft or go over your credit limit. Or use a prepaid card with $2.00 on it.
If you charge/debit inside the store then you can have them put in any pending charge you want.
Most of the stations around me were at $50. Not anymore.

I remember my Dad stopping to get gas in the 1950s, handing the attendant 2 bucks and telling him to filler’up. At 29 cents a gallon he could do that.

I said soon we’ll be back to odd and even days. He had no idea what that was. We’re the same age. They didn’t have them.

I was a high school kid in northern Virginia then. We had the odd-even license plates and long lines then.

I remember my parents switching license plates once because one of the cars needed to be filled up on the wrong designated day. When my dad brought the full car home from the gas station, they switched the plates back. 😄

If the pump stops at $75, or whatever, you can just start a new transaction and continue filling.

Get gas.
Shut off the pump.
Get your receipt.
Spin around twice. (optional)
Repeat as needed.

I pulled into an Exxon station last week to get gas. The pump stopped at two gallons and the pumps screen said “transaction temporarily suspended please wait”. It happened at all pumps.
They came back on in about two minutes with the gas price 10 cents higher per gallon.

That’s the first time thats ever happened in my decades of driving.

That’s a really good idea. Thanks. I go online every day to make sure there aren’t strange charges on our account. A limit would dull the pain if ever hit.

When I got my first car in 1970, gas was $0.25 per gallon. I remember a few years later when the gas pumps couldn’t be set to a price over $0.999 per gallon.

“3 cent discount per gallon if you pay cash”

For me that’s about $39 a year or about $.75 a week. I’ll gladly pay the premium just to avoid the humanity inside the store.

Gas rationing is almost certain in the near future, but prepare for food rationing. Diesel prices, lack of fertilizers and the Green jihad on all fossil fuels could leave crops unplanted, not harvested or not shipped to market. The smug elites in their electric cars could find no tofurkey on the shelves at Whole Foods.

We really need President Brandon and Transpo Sec Booty-Gig to re-enact the 55mph national speed limit!

It's a law we can live with!
