Once I started reading the cryptogram as I solved it, I was able to immediately guess the author ... very few people can make such a mess of the English language.

I realized who the author was, then wondered why bother using this persons quote for a cryptogram. This is one of the larger and also easiest I have done. It was solved just soon as I saw HMZH. The rest was fill in the blank. Simple minds.
