I have asked the same question to many Clintoon lovers and no one has answered yet:

Can you name one good thing he did?

I am most certainly no admirer of Clinton (either of them!), but he signed the welfare reform act and the 1997 cut in the cap gains tax rate and the exemption of $500K in cap gains when a couple sells a residence. Yes, they were Republican proposals, but he could have done the bad thing (as the Dems would do now) and vetoed them. But the important thing about this thread is what a great president we have in George W. Bush.

Lucky for us, Bush is not concerned with his legacy while still in office... unlike Clinton.

This legacy confab is in and of itself proof certain of clinton's deeply flawed character, and a demonstration in real time of the way in which the clinton years were about a legacy that was incidentally a presidency.

Yes, I also suggested those rep proposals that he signed and can give only partial credit, if any.

And I don't want to deface this wonderful thread with side comments either.

I have sent the link of Chrissy's Clip to some dems I know.

I never watch Matthews' show. Is there a clip of what he actually said?
