Do you know on what part of the Capitol some windows were broken? I saw a video which showed someone with a steel rod smacking it on a window but I don’t know where that was happening. Did people enter the Capitol from the high terrace/ balcony facing the mall? Or was it from other entrances?

I was a few blocks away down near the Air and Space Museum but I had binoculars and could see that some kind of a gas was in the air for a while up on the terrace. Was that the police aiming the gas at the protesters or do you know what it was?

I really don’t know the answers to your questions. I couldn’t see any of those things from my vantage point, which was mostly on the ground on 1st St SW between the reflecting pool and the Capitol Building.
