Good article, but somewhat bypasses its key point.

When she was young and hungry, she started being trained in direct action. When she needed a better-paying job that used those skills, union organizing was available to join. She’s had opportunities to meaningfully collaborate with colleagues locally, across the country, and internationally. This is a career track that does not exist on the right, and the infrastructure in which it exists is key to leftist successes.

The reality is that people like Lisa depend upon the availability of a ready cash flow for whatever "organization" they dream up. These are either unions or leftist Foundations (such as Tides) that themselves depend upon the steady stream of lucre supplied by elitist billionaires.

This is why the right has such difficulty organizing on the same model.

Conflict concentrates police power. That redounds to the creditors of the government, who get their favors when the treasurers come begging. Constitutional conservatism suffers from the lack of faith the astro-buck class has in the liberty that provided their fabulous wealth. Usually (although less so today) by the time that wealth is accumulated, its progenitors are old. They worked a business usually demanding such focus that their children develop into resentful brats indoctrinated by elite leftist institutions. For said progeny, it's easier to game the system than to buil wealth. That's who runs these tax-exempt "charitable" foundations supplying the likes of Lisa Fithian.

I wonder if she pays her fair share of taxes...
