House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) criticized the motion to vacate that Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) is bringing against him next week in an effort to oust him from the Speaker’s office.
After Greene announced at a press conference Wednesday that she would move on her motion, Johnson—who has repeatedly broken the Hastert Rule and caved on Ukraine aid with no border funding—called the motion “wrong.”
“This motion is wrong for the Republican Conference, wrong for the institution, and wrong for the country,” he said, according to CNN Capitol Hill reporter Melanie Zanona.

I suspected he was some sort of mole when he got the gig, since everyone voted for him and the Rats were minimally vocal about him. However, I didn't think he'd be an out-and-out turncoat and a traitor.

USCIS to Open International Field Offices in Qatar and Turkey
(USCIS) today announced the upcoming opening of international field offices in Doha, Qatar, and Ankara, Turkey, to increase capacity for refugee processing.
The Biden-Harris administration set the refugee admissions ceiling for fiscal year 2024 at 125,000 refugees. Establishing USCIS field offices in Qatar and Turkey will support the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program’s infrastructure in the region. It also will directly support long-established and increasing USCIS refugee processing circuit rides.
Johnson also extended the FISA 702 authority without requiring warrants for such searches. There has been massive abuse, including against Trump.
Not to worry. Hakim Jefferies promised that the Dems would support Johnson to retain the Speakership.
