I just don’t think people care about Ukraine except for a few ultra-libertarian types. Regular Republicans don’t think Ukraine matters one way or the other, which is why Trump did not draw his own line in the sand.

I don’t want Ukraine to get unlimited cash and Trump got what he wanted which was loan repayment requirements. This is different than on the life issue where a lot of people feel very strongly. Foreign policy is irrelevant to most people’s lives unless they’re in the service.

That reality being the expected value of supporting Johnson.

Either one trusts Pres Trump or not.

Johnson has ALWAYS believed and stated there were (are) very good reasons to stop Pooty. Evidently you didn’t listen very closely.

FISA should have been completely rewritten by the House Judiciary Committee. That one is on Jim Jordan. As it was / is, dropping FISA entirely is hugely dangerous, including a very real danger of a major terrorist attack occurring, soon, and it getting blamed on the Pubbies right before the election. That’d probably be good for 40 or 50 new Dem seats in the House...

There is also the issue that the final vote on FISA was NOT close. Even if the vote goes against my wishes, I have a big problem with votes being blocked indefinitely when they have a large majority of House votes in favor. I do not think that is what our Founders intended.

Trump isn’t my Lord and savior. He has made a lot of mistakes and he’s making one right now.

Ukraine gets mostly weapons. 3 - 4x what we say we’ve sent, if Russian claims of what’s been blown up or captured are true.

The GOP doesn’t represent Americans. It will hopefully be replaced by a party that does.

Is Mike Johnson being blackmailed by the deep state? This has all the earmarks.
He sure did seem to get democrat ‘religion’ all of the sudden, so to speak.

Well, of course, we all have out way of looking at situations, and we apply filters acquired through the years to evaluate new information. But facts are immovable, opinions are frangible. The fact is that the Republican body is halfway divided by support for the Ukrainian problem and halfway divided by the Zionist problem. Not that it matters, our votes are worthless anyway.

But to your point, most Republican leaders are supported by the defense industry. MTG is not taking money from the defense industry as most reps do, so she does not have any chairmanships. I totally respect that. AND I heard her speaking on some show and she impressed me no end. Much more switched on than almost all other reps, both reasonable and informed and quite aware of what had to be done and her part in it. I agree with you about women in politics... but if the men won't take out the trash, maybe the women will. I'm willing to give her a shot.

[As a nation we’ve become consumed by foreigners and the interests of foreign nations.]

It would be great if we had American politicians that mainly put America and Americans first.

You know, like President Donald Trump.

Oh wait......the morons who watch CNN and MSNBC didn’t like him....

It’s about respecting him and using reason.

He brought peace and prosperity to earth.

It’s not unreasonable to believe that he wants peace in the House before the election. It’s not unreasonable for him to fear Johnson’s potential replacement. It’s not unreasonable to believe that he has more information than us.

We are currently under even money to win the oval office.

We are a big favorite to take the Senate.

The House is a coin toss.

We’re on the verge of exiting the Dems across the board largely thanks to Pres Trump despite mass collusion and conspiracy against us.

He deserves the benefit of the doubt maybe more than any human on earth.
