This smacks of an insurrection planned on keeping a former President from running for office again. Jack Smith, the FBI people involved in the raids, and those at the DOJ and FBI that sent them there to Mar a Lago should be tried, convicted and sentenced in federal court for treason where the death penalty could be applied.

Jack Smith is Mike Nifong, the disgraced D.A. of Durham County, N.C., who colluded with the DNA lab to withhold exculpatory evidence, in an attempt to prosecute members of Duke's Lacrosse team for rape in 2006. Smith should be permanently disbarred, criminally charged, and thrown in prison. One would think that a Special Prosecutor appointed to oversee a Federal case would have made sure that the evidence he was bringing forth wasn't tainted, before charging President Trump with any crime. He's as much a criminal as Michael Cohen and Michael Avenatti. What did Merrick Garland, and Jack Smith know, and when did they know it?

IDK of this is “breaking news” but it was immediately transparent when that childish photo was given to the press. It looked like what one would expect from a couple juvenile delinquents who got into the principal’s office and trashed a filing cabinet.
Yup. Outrageous. Unacceptable.
Case was total BS to begin with since the president can take whatever documents he wants and requires no permission to declassify anything he wishes, and besides that the president enjoys unlimited immunity for official acts anyway.
I think people ridiculing it (based on people getting fixated on “BOMBSHELL!” and “BOOM!” and things like that...to the point they go out of their way to put things like that in the keywords) are missing the point.
The thing isn’t that it is or isn’t a bombshell or any asinine term like that, it is that the effort at election tampering by prosecuting Trump is clearly not being thrown in the trash like any case where this kind of behavior by prosecutors is revealed, but is simply being put on hold.
This should never even have been a case to begin with, and the fact that this insanely egregious behavior, not even denied by the prosecution (which only attempted to be explained away) should make everyone recognize it is a purely political prosecution, and the judge is in on it as well even if she isn’t coming across like Mechan in New York.
Chain of custody broken, appearance of evidence being tainted is clear, out it goes. See it 50 times in criminal courts, both civilian and military in my 32 years in and around courts.
