The latest example of Washington's disturbing tendency to do Mexico's bidding concerns the popular bounty hunter Duane "Dog" Chapman, whom U.S. marshals arrested last month. Mr. Chapman's crime? In June 2003, he apprehended Andrew Luster in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, where the convicted rapist had fled some five months earlier. Because of Mr. Chapman, Luster is now serving his 124-year sentence in California. We think this makes Mr. Chapman a hero; but the Mexican government says he's a criminal.
Bounty hunting is illegal in Mexico. So, when Mr. Chapman brought Luster into custody in Mexico he too was detained. But after posting bond, Mr. Chapman returned to Hawaii, where he's been ever since. The matter seemed to be dropped. Now, three years later, Mexico wants him back to face charges and the U.S. government appears ready to cooperate.
It shouldn't. First, it is highly doubtful that the Mexican authorities were unaware of Luster's presence in one of the most popular cities for American tourists. For five months, they let Luster be, even as U.S. federal agents were out looking for him.

"Bounty hunting is not illegal in the US and therefore we have no obligation to extradite him to Mexico. SAVE DOG!!!!!!!!!!"Sex with 14 year old boys is legal in some countries, but the U.S. will prosecute you for going there with that purpose. And "DOG" is being extradited for a crime in both coutnries... bail jumping. Something he should know is a crime.

Nobody knew who this clown was until the Luster capture. Yeah, I believe that A&E would have given a no name bounty hunter a TV show before he became famous. Really, I do.
You, sir, are either misinformed or a liar. I don't care which. I know all I need to know to decide that your "The FBI was about to swoop down upon Luster" story lacks credibility.

You are correct...Nobody knew who this clown was until the Luster capture...and the clown with the TV crew sold those tapes to A & E and the rest, as they say... was histproy. A two minute google search will find you that. One minute, if you can read Spanish.
Your rambling is rather confusing. Or am I mistaking your point for rambling?
My point was that "Dog" was violating Mexican law, "dissed" U.S. lawmen (not a smart move) and was using Luster's capture not for some noble purpose, but specifically to film the event and market himself -- which he did, sucessfully, creating that "Dog the Bounty Hunter" show. His arrest is hardly a conspiracy.
If what you're saying is true, link it.
