The Drudge Report blared the New York Post report by Charles Hurt that President Obama told the Republicans in Congress that they should go along and get along, and stop listening to Rush Limbaugh: "You can't just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done."
Obama is clearly worried that Rush Limbaugh is going to be the GOP Speaker of the House, so to speak. Over at Radio Equalizer, talk-radio guru Brian Maloney is amused:
Beyond the absurdity of a Democrat barking orders at his political opposition, he's especially foolish to air his fear of Limbaugh and talk radio in a public setting. Now, what was long suspected by conservatives has been verified by the man himself.
The timing was no coincidence: after a rocky first week in office, the Obamists are also faced with a resurgent Fox News Channel, where ratings have been climbing since the moment he took office.
In particular, Hannity's Limbaugh interview, which took place in the latter's Florida studios, scored fantastic audience figures for the former's network. In overall viewers, Thursday's Hannity nearly trebled his MSNBC competition and almost doubled CNN's Larry King.

Well said! I'm getting the feeling that 44's going to burn himself out within six months. He's already bitched at Politico, and now he's griping about Rush, all within his first week of taking office.
The real Obama is coming out, and he's sounding more like his wife...it's not going to be pretty.
In the biggest concession of all, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell has said the package should pass by mid-February, the Democrats' line-in-the-sand legislative deadline. By refusing to threaten a filibuster to block the bill, McConnell is guaranteeing passage of a bill that reflects Democratic priorities and reaches Obama's desk on his timeline.
Great. And here I thought Sen. McConnell was one of the GOP's astutest field generals, who led the fight against CFR.
Why not? They are probably more on the ball dealing with reality than some clown with a JD from Harvard. Get rid of your class envy, you don't need it.
here is a history of Alcatraz.

It doesn’t sound like it is a viable option without a MASSIVE amount of money to fix it up..if that is even possible.
Yup, exactly. A resume which includes drug addiction and three failed marriages doesn't impress me in the least for an adviser to government, no matter what political philosophy he's peddling.
Pretty boy is not going to take away freedom of speech , without a fight.
That is an excellent point that most Freepers miss.
The President and Congress get lots of protection. A terrorist attack is not going to affect them directly.
In fact, a terrorist attack is usually good for politicians since they can take advantage of it to look like great leaders, after all, it is only ordinary citizens or military personnel that pay the price of these attacks.
The President and Congress do not get any protection from Rush or Sean. In fact, Rush and Sean can point out weaknesses or mistakes made by the President or Congress and hammer that home to millions of listeners.
Your statement is more true than anyone will allow themselves to believe.
He’s an insecure man that is in over his head and he knows it. It may very well be the only thing he is certain of. He is nothing more than a political experiment. Republicans in office may do well to stay somewhat quiet on this for just a bit and graciously get out of his way, so to speak ;) Give him just enough (and apparently it doesn’t take much) to push him over the edge. It’s only been 5 days and the bully in him is shining through.
“Because his interests at $50 mil a year are not at all my interests. I dont want Congress listening to the $50 mil guys from Wall Street or Saudi Arabia either.”
Wow!! did you realize this is a conservative site made up of conservative people that agree with Rush Limbaugh’s viewpoints?? You should really consider moving on to familiar territory at the democrat underground or some other familiar place where you’re amongst true peers.
this ain’t the place for you with that mindset/attitude.
Cats aren't supportive of stressed humans like dogs are. Cats merely tolerate humans, when they're not managing them.
Rush needs a friendly dog. Retriever, maybe, or a spaniel. Or, better, whatever breed he might have had at home when he was a kid.
Joe Arpaio’s jail and Tent City may be warm and sunny, but they would have to eat the “green bologna” and other food not really approved by their religion.
I would love to hear Joe comment on that “problem”!!

Yes he has a cat, but a good Jack Russel Terrier would spice up his life.
I guess not. But, if opposing Obama, or any of the Democrats, is stirring up trouble..? I just don't get what you are saying. I can't figure it out. For eight years, the Democratic party obstructed everything Bush tried to do, and wouldn't help him even when he agreed with them. And now, we're supposed to play nice because Obama is President? Bull bleep!
I have heard Rush say on his own show that he HATES exercise! I wish he didn’t feel that way. I can’t speak for anyone else but I personally have vacillated between doing huge amounts of physical exercise and doing nearly none. For nearly two years now I have been back in the weight room working with the heaviest weights I can handle and the harder I work the better I feel, I have far fewer aches and pains than when I was idle. According to the official weight charts I am obese but people often tell me how great I look now (38 pants size and 52 coat size) and I can walk for miles bouncing on my toes. The next phase of training will be aimed at getting my weight down but I am wearing so much new muscle it is going to be hard to drop weight.
By the way I have adult onset diabetes myself. When I check my blood sugar immediately after a heavy lifting session it runs betwen 90 and 95. Even when I ran out of glucophage and didn’t take it for ten days my sugar was never high after lifting weights. I hope your husband is doing some walking at least, it is still the greatest all around exercise for most people.
Have you ever heard Rush mention a childhood dog? I haven’t, maybe that is the problem, he just doesn’t know how great having a dog can make you feel. Yes cat people, cats are nice but they just aren’t dogs.
Or drive him nuts. He looks like a Pappion, Yorkie or a Cocker kind of guy.
