You then further say in that same post that some Neanderthal Freepers, have therefore accused you of being sympathetic, or appeasing, or the such.
I just saw that post and asked a very legit question. And then you went NUCLEAR. Threatening me, and such. It was a legit question.
If someone thinks action A causes or contributes to result Z, does that includes the full circle of that thinking that Actions B and C cause or contribute to X and Y?
I can see clearly that you are very emotionally bent on whatever position it is where you support A and totally object to B and C.
I can clearly see that I was not the only person, today on this thread. And at some point previously on some past thread, that you referenced, who was also confused by your seeming attempt to have it both ways.
Since I believe Islam is the greatest threat to the world. Greater than Nazism in the 40s. I do not seek to allow B, C or A as excuses. And will actively work to demonstrate how we must be steadfast against ALL Islamic Activity and the means by which we resist are not civil, and should offer no restraint or quarter.
We did not defeat the Nazis by trying to work with most of them and saying they were misunderstood and peaceful. We bombed cities, on Christmas and burned little children to death in their beds.
Total war is not a pretty thing. It is not even a necessary thing. It is the ONLY thing.

Well, yes, actually people DO think of several reasons this guy may be doing it. YOUR limited thinking leads you to assume there's only one reason: that he's "looking for his moment in the limelight." That's all the thinking you've done about it.
Others of us who've "really" thought can come up with other equally likely explanations for his doing it: he wants to convey a message on behalf of those of us (me included) who cannot be in NYC today; he wants to find out what the reaction will be of the people around him; he wants to gratify his own yearning to voice his own objection to Islam by the civil protest of burning a significant symbol aligned with one of the most significant dates in American history.
You, on the other hand, think no further than that "This guy is a childish clown looking for his moment in the limelight." No doubt you also think that a person who contributes to charity has no other reason for doing it than looking good in the eyes of others.

I agree that Jone’s idea was a stupid publicity stunt, although my real objection was that he was subjugating 9/11 to his own political message.
I have no doubt his disregard for the Koran could put our troops in additional danger, but really didn’t care — that’s what the troops are there for, to defend our freedoms.
And while I have no desire to change my actions to submit to Islamist sensibilities, I also am not looking for useless provocations like mass-burning Korans after a 2-week publicity tour.
Great idea. We know from experience that all we have to do to win their favor so they’ll stop attacking us is to not burn their trashy novels. It’s worked really well so far.
I disagree, because I also believe that a Muslim or a Jew burning a Bible would be uncivil, and I believe that people who burn the flag are abusing their right to free speech.
I still defend their right to do either of those things, and would oppose the Commander-In-Chief threatening them in order to get them to stop. But I would also attack them for their actions, as a citizen it is my right.
Burn the entire Obamacare bill? Better plan on an all-day rally then.
That guy’s got a big bandage or muffler around his throat and face. He may be ill. But I’m sure it’s nothing that a nice, sharp scimitar wouldn’t cure.
If I were to film a Koran being blown up, I would set it up so it was wearing full muslim garb, a towel where the “face” would be, and a suicide belt; I’d stick arms on it, put the trigger in the hand, and place a cardboard backdrop with a “dialogue bubble” that said “Allah Akbar”.
Thus making the book a “suicide bomber”. I might also put the constitution next to the book, to illustrate how the radical islamists use the Koran to justify attacking our freedom and way of life.
I know that last point might make some American Patriots upset — but I’m guessing they won’t go on a killing spree, which would be part of my message.
That number is obviously being held down by the gubmint stooges at youtube-google -- over 3 hours later than your post and it is still at 303 views. How did everyone like that "warning" screen from the "youtube community" before you can see the video. That little puke Sunstein is working fast.
I think it should first be wrapped in two pieces of bacon - one running across the top of the book lengthwise down the center, another running across the top of the book widthwise across the center. + ;)

I'm so sorry that there are a-holes like that on this site. There is a kind of Gresham's Law of Internet message boards--bad posters drive out the good--and decent people have to wage a constant fight against it.
True enough. I can get in the gutter just as can anyone. But there's a time and a place and I don't think most people here want FR to be that place.
