I thought Grand Rapids was a conservative town. How did this guy become mayor?
It is a fairly conservative city as urban areas go but urban conservative vs rural conservative are two different animals.
Dick DeVos, former GOP candidate for governor (and head of AMWAY) is headquartered in Grand Rapids. His brother in law is the founder of Blackwater.
