Three Day Emergency Kits Distributed to Children in Savannah, GA

My Daughter came home from School today. She is in 10th Grade. Her World History Teacher was overheard talking to another Faculty Member and the Students overheard bits and pieces. So they hounded the Teacher for info. So the Teacher informed the Class that there was gonna be a 3 day kit passed around for all the Students. They may be needed for the dates of Sept 28 to Oct 8....The Class was told to be prepared for Power outages. Teacher also informed Class that Russian Troops were Training on our Soil. The Class went nuts and asked tons of questions but the Teacher said that was all she had to say.

Actually the one element that gave me pause was the Russian Troops comment. That was odd. I know foreign nationals DO train here for ease of collaboration on the WoT, but ... that was odd.

One person here has directly eyeballed Russian troop carriers on flatbeds, but that might be more of the collaboration.

I’m less concerned about troops, than I am about actual physical kits being distributed. I still have doubt and problems with this inasmuch as I have only one report of this. I need a few more confirmations before I up my DefCon a level.

Nonetheless, this is a unit of data, and I thought it best to share it with us all, mostly to see if more reports come in.

Ignore it or not, it’s not my business. It’s a mild report, because there is no confirmation as of yet.

Oh, and a follow up: I agree, Russian invasion conspiracy theories are nuts. The things that have pinged my radar, however, are these:

The kits are for making it through the days after the coming hurricane.

The drivel about the Russians is fear of rumors about rumors of a 1958 book “the Russians are coming”

My shiny hat is on and I must wonder if it has anything to do with a syrian strike the king has been planning for the last two years. Declaring martial law because of a war would not surprise me.

Your first premise is plausible. I would be relieved. Your second premise almost goes without saying. I have no worries about that at all.

I’m just impressed you didn’t misspell ‘martial law’ in the common ‘marshall law’ I see so often.

Can you get her to obtain one of these kits and post a photo online?

(or at least get her to obtain the photo)

I know there’s a tinfoil hat club somewhere on FR, but I must not be on the ping list. :)

Why distribute the kits and the very end of the hurricane season?

This is a report directly by someone who is dating him.

What happened to the mother of his children?

Laz, the reason you and I don't have lunch anymore is that I moved to Savannah, Georgia earlier this year. I've asked around and have heard nothing about this.

The only caveat is that a massive percentage of middle, upper-middle, and uppper class families in Savannah send their children to private schools, and those families represent most of my current contacts - but I'm not hearing anything from anyone.
