“Meet the Press, a show now headed by sleepy-eyes Chuck Todd,” Trump told the rapturous crowd. “He is a sleepy son of a bitch, I’ll tell you.”
Well, Todd almost immediately responded to the president in a tweet, making a coy reference to the insult:

I remember back in the 80’s/90’s (I was an avid Sunday shows watcher + consumer of the Sunday NYT) there were only about 6 millions viewers then. Most of us went from show to show, so the unique viewers probably were not much higher than that number.

I wondered why he brought him up, sort of out of nowhere, I thought. But I just saw a tweet that explained that Todd was insulting to Len Gerard(?) of the steelworkers this week, so Trump was probably paying him back, in kind.
More Trump Democrats for the Rust Belt states. Heckuva job, Chuckie!
