Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy has overtaken Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) nationally for second place in the GOP primary field, according to a Kaplan Strategies poll.

The poll, published on Monday, shows that 48 percent of GOP primary voters back Trump as he continues to dominate the field. Ramaswamy sits alone in second place with eleven percent, while DeSantis follows with ten percent:

Trump’s support is unchanged since Kaplan Strategies’ poll published in July, whereas DeSantis is down two points from when he and Ramaswamy were tied at twelve percent. The pair have been trending in opposite directions over the past few months, with Ramaswamy climbing and DeSantis sliding.

Former Vice President Mike Pence is on DeSantis’s heels with eight percent after doubling his support since the poll that was taken from July 17-18. From there, former Govs. Nikki Haley (R-SC) and Chris Christie (R-NJ) tie at four percent. Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) is down three points from July, garnering two percent in this poll, followed by Gov. Doug Burgum (R-ND) with one percent.

Kaplan strategies sampled 800 registered likely GOP primary voters from August 9-10, and the margin of error (MOE) is ± 3.5 percentage points.

Trump can do nothing to fix voter fraud in the swing states. Trump endorsed a lousy candidate in PA last year (Mastriano), who went down in flames, and so there is a detestable Democrat governor in place who will ensure nothing changes in Philly.

Additionally, MI, WI and AZ have similar Democrat goons as governors who will protect the voting apparatus in Detroit, Milwaukee and Maricopa County, respectively. There’s nothing Trump can do about that except whine.

A non-Trump nominee could conceivably recapture the suburban independents in those states that abandoned Trump in 2020 and offset the fraud machine. But those voters are out of Trump’s reach.

Stop smoking that stuff.
Trump the ONLY president who did not start stupid foreign wars or continued asinine foreign wars with borrowed money
Trump the only president who actually built a substantial wall on southern border in spite of resistance from deep state.
Trump gave us record low unemployment, record low gas prices, record low inflation.
Trump nominated 3 good persons to SCOTUS.
Trump gave us biggest tax cut in history.
Trump stopped N Korea from launching tickets with just personal relationship with Kim. Meatball Ron has no such personality.
Putin did not invade anybody when Trump was president.
Trump built strongest US military in history.

So your stupid comments just show you must be a meatball groupie.

Where did I say I had some secret knowledge or even the ONLY one? I said folks who are jumping on this guys band wagon need to dig deeper... he’s a fraud, don’t need to have secret knowledge to know that, just have to bother to look into him a little bit.

Bad news considering Vivek is a Soros Trojan horse. He’s our version of Rishi Sunak.

Nah he's nothing that sinister and will never get beyond the novelty stage, won't win a single contest. He's this cycle's Andrew Yang. Smart guy though, and I'm sure he'll bag in a nice gig when he's done with his vacation.

That would be the most hysterical scenario but also not bloody likely.

I don’t understand why we have to make this election as difficult as possible for the voters that we need to get. We could win with the most conservative candidate who is also a serious adult and will be an incumbent in 2028. It would be an easy choice for the swaths of people looking for a reason to vote against Biden. Or, we can go on and lose with Trump again to the most horrendous president imaginable. It’s so depressing.

Ron is 20x the candidate as Vivek.
Its way past time for FR to stop the attacks on Ron.

Trump commissioned $400M worth of voter fraud in 2020 under the auspices of COVID relief. The guy who signed his own electoral death warrant won’t be fixing anything since if he is nominated again, we might as well start candidate shopping for 2028.

RDS won't even recognize the 2020 fraud let alone fix it.

And RDS thanked and praised Trump for signing the CARES Act.

His audacity to think he could beat the most popular Republican president of all time. DeSantis is like Instagram women. They get a few likes and they begin to think they are supermodels.

Here is a significant difference between Vivek and DeSantis-

Fulton County publishes Trump indictment even before Grand Jury votes on it, violating Trump's rights. Vivek jumps right on it and forcefully condemns this act. He even suggests a course of action on this.

DeSantis meanwhile sits there quietly, probably cheering on Fulton County crooks, based on his previous statements. He will put his finger in the air to see which way the public sentiment goes. If he has no way out, he will put a mealy-mouthed statement out. Fail!!

If Desantis really wanted to succeed, for his campaign reset he should have fired all his "republican strategists". Told his RINO donors and backers to either shut up and join the base or take a hike. Then go boldly and speak on what the base is facing. Instead of doing this, he let the RINOs and strategists run his campaign. He failed right out the gate.

We're giving Joe Biden 4 more years on the house just like that.

We shouldn't be that nice to Joe Biden. But we are because we are that stupid.

I'm not going to accept the attacks on Ron. We're having the primaries, not a coronation.

Vivek is a nice guy. He should run as a Representative in a district somewhere.

At the very least we owe President Trump to attend this and take Vivek apart who is draining and splitting his vote … I want to see them face-to-face it’s the only way to ferret out the truth and we shouldn’t be denied such an opportunity, period end of story
