Well this ought to put to rest to all of that tinfoil talk about the NBA fixing outcomes. A 4-game sweep(that was expected by everyone outside of the Soprano market) is the worst possible scenario for NBC and the NBA. If they were manipulating, don't you think they could have gotten Jersey a win or two?

Have the riots started yet??

I'll admit to not paying much attention to pro sports until the playoffs ... but I didn't even know they were playing the championship series this past week!

Only in this alternate universe... in the real one, the Lakers lost game six of the Playoffs against the Kings...

Diddly,
Even the most corrupt officials must have something to work with...

Most classless champions ever.Forgetting the seventy-sixers already??
To: AngrySpud
I turned it on and watched the last 3 minutes of this game, that was it for the champ series. Also saw the last few minutes of Game 4 vs. Sacramento(of all the games to tune into!) and that was it for my viewing of the NBA ALL SEASON! I just don't care anymore.
BTW, what a bunch of totally classless bums the remaining groups of fans at the Meadowlands are. If they didn't like the results, then leave, but to stick around and boo the Lakers during the trophy ceremony is disgusting. Especially after getting their butts beat in 4 games straight. What a bunch of losers, no wonder NJ went for Gore and against Schundler.
To: twntaipan
Yeah, right, most classes ever. Did you hear Shaq say Jason Kidd was the reall MVP of the season? No class there.
To: twntaipan
What a statement twnt, they (lakers) gave respect to kid and the New Jersey fans that were ALL booing showing THEIR lack of class.

Oh really? How so? I always root against the Lakers, but they once again proved to be the best and EARNED that trophy.
To: Swordmaker
GET OVERIT! The Lakers won, and the Kings choked!
To: StopDemocratsDotCom
All he really has is height. If he were shorter, he wouldn't survive. He hardly ever dribbles, and he misses the majority of free-throws.
To: Swordmaker
Please, Kings choked!
To: Swordmaker
LOL, but there's always next year, little buckeroo.
To: twntaipan
Yeah giving respect to the other teams best player and complimenting the fans (while they show their obvious lack of class by booing) is classless. Get over it LAKERS CHAMPS AGAIN!!
