Trump Says the U.S. Should Have Invaded Mexico
L.A. Weekly ^ | July 11, 2015 | Dennis Romero

Donald Trump took his ire toward Mexico to a new dimension as he visited Los Angeles this weekend.

During a speech to Hollywood conservative group Friends of Abe last night the GOP presidential candidate said Iraq was a needed buffer against a hostile Iran and that it was wrong for the United States to have invaded Saddam Hussein's fiefdom.

"Instead," Trump told the crowd, “we should have invaded Mexico."

This was according to an attendee who wishes to remain anonymous.* The remark was greeted with rousing applause, our source said.

The real estate mogul also said that, if he were elected to the highest office of the nation, he would "blow up the oil wells" that he believes sustain the Middle East terrorist group ISIS.

Trump arrived for the 7:30 p.m. event at the Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel at 7:55. He was transported in a two-SUV caravan, and he didn't stop to greet supporters outside.

Demonstrators appalled by his June 16 comments that Mexican immigrants are drug-running criminals and "rapists" gathered across the street from the Brentwood venue.

Our source said that Friends of Abe, whose membership reportedly includes Clint Eastwood, Gary Sinise and Pat Boone, rented out the hotel bar, patio, and lobby lounge to ensure privacy.

Even hotel guests, the witness said, were told they could not use the bar during the event.

Actor Nick Searcy of FX's Justified entered the dining room in a Mexican wrestling mask and told the invite-only crowd, "I had to wear this to get past ‘em." He was ostensibly referring to the pro-immigrant protesters outside, most of whom appeared to be Latino. The comment evoked laughter, our source said.

Author Ann Coulter, who has been equally if not more vicious on immigration, was in the audience, and Trump blew her a kiss from the podium, the witness said.

Lou Ferrigno, Paul Sorvino, and Morgan Brittany were spotted in the audience. Comedian Tom Dreesen introduced Trump but asked the audience to keep his own name out of it, we were told.

After speaking to the Friends of Abe, Trump took no questions and exited.

Following his June 16 comments, Trump has stood fast by his stance — "when Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best" — but he also expressed some qualified affection for the Mexican people and aimed his guns more specifically at the White House and at the Mexican government.

"Their leaders are much smarter, sharper and more cunning than our leaders and they’re killing us at the border and they’re killing us in trade," he said during a campaign stop in Phoenix today.

“So, you're saying that all the peoples of all the present U.S. Territories — Puerto Rico, Guam, Northern Marianas, United States Virgin Islands and American Samoa — have the vote? I did not think so.”

Good question. What I said (”And you don’t thing (sic) they’ll all end up here eventually as voting citizens? Just a matter of time” ...) was just referring to them being here in the USA and being allowed to stay, those here now and more in the foreseeable future, voting as full citizens one day, because we don't don't want to or care to do anything about it. Perhaps I misspoke using the term Territory in a previous post. I'd rather swallow up Mexico entirely into the US and deal with them as an expanded new territory (the spoils of war).

“I think we’re going to hear a lot of “he said” over the next month or so.”

I’ve been thinking the same - there is NO WAY to stop him with conventional tactics (shaming him into supporting Open Borders, telling the country that Border Security is an ‘extreme’ position, etc.).

Perhaps the Herman Cain / Bill Cosby treatment. Start finding (and/or creating) a string of women that Trump abused in some way. I really don’t know what else they can do at this point. Even hearsay, as in this case, won’t take them very far, with a recording of his voice.

“This is the level of ‘news reporting’ in America today. My only surprise was that they didn’t claim Trump raped a two-year-old boy on-stage.”

You haven’t heard? Maybe they’re holding that one until next week.

Interesting story there. The American negotiator, Trist, had negotiated the present treaty. Polk had decided he wanted more of Mexico or possibly all of it. So he fired Trist and told him to come home.

Trist defied him, finalized the treaty and sent it to the Senate. Which eventually ratified it.

The politics of the day was a real rat’s nest.

Wow, a double post, my first ever, but I swear I didn’t post it twice. Posted as #101 and 102 (the transition from one page to the next). Identical text. Does that happen from time to time?

I gotta admit that if we’d taken all of Mexico we’d have a much easier southern border to control.

To be fair, while we’d conquered the Mexican Army and taken their capitol, conquering the Mexican people and territory would have been an entirely more challenging task. As the French learned a decade or two later.

Trump should be recording all his speeches, as indeed should every candidate.

We’re not talking about “immigrants” here. “Immigrants” come into the country legally under a controlled immigration policy. We’re talking about ILLEGAL aliens, including drug smugglers, human traffickers, gang bangers, murderers, rapists, terrorists and criminals of every sort who are invading America. La Raza’s oft-stated goal in this effort is to retake the southwest for Mexico. And they are succeeding. “Hispanics” are now the majority in California and are approaching majority in several other states. When the population of one country infiltrates into, destroys the native culture, and displaces the voting population of the first we have experienced a hostile takeover. And it definitely appears this is the case and is being directed by the Mexican government.

Hard to tell when Trump is talking real objectives or is just going for the shock factor, but either way, he’s not far off the mark. If the U.S. does not wake the hell up and start fighting back, we’re going to lose our country.

And our idiot Marxist president flat out doesn’t give a shit how it happens. Just as long as America is destroyed.

Frankly, Jim, I question if he ever even said this. This is a sleazy free lefty rag with those escort service ads in the back, and the author of this fiction presents 'One Anonymous Source'.

That doesn't even pass a laugh-test.

Akin to “My fellow Americans, I’m pleased to tell you today that I’ve signed legislation that will outlaw Russia forever. We begin bombing in five minutes.”

Agreed. And it will only get worse with time.

And while we are at it let’s invade Cuber to free the Cubans from that collectivist hellhole.

I never thought I’d see the day where Americans were told to stay away from a part of our country because the foreigners are too dangerous.

I’d send in a Division of Marines if that’s what it took.

We shouldn’t have to be afraid to go anywhere in this country. What the hell is wrong with these chicken Democrats?

They should stay in their nurseries and suck their thumbs.
