The overwhelming surge of illegal immigrants on the U.S.-Mexico border is drawing agents away from the northern border, where apprehensions are also increasing significantly.
Sault Ste. Marie Border Patrol Agent in Charge Henry Laxdal told WJFW apprehensions in the Detroit sector increased 42 percent between 2017 and 2018, though the numbers pale in comparison to the southern border crisis.

Apparently there is also this increase of illegal crossing from the north, as well.
Now we need a wall on the Canadian border.
Why don’t they stay in Canada if supposedly so much better country?
I’d like to know how the heck they’re coming into Canada to begin with. If we have such a great merit-based immigration system, what are they doing, swimming here? Flying in?

Right-all that other free medical care which is SO much better than ours, and besides... Canadians hate the US almost as much as the illegals do.

A few years ago, when my work often took me to Northern New York, I was pulled over several times by the Border Patrol. After a quick search of my car I was on my way. I never knew why this happened.
How these people get the money to travel boggles my mind. My family can’t venture as far as they do and we have two wage earners :0(
