A white man pointed a gun at an innocent, law abiding, black female amazon driver, threatened to shoot her, and used racial slurs.
Since the video proves that a criminal pointed a gun at an innocent person, I support executing him. And the execution should take place within 24 hours of sentencing. It should not take 20 or 30 years to execute someone when there is video proof.
This kind of behavior should not be tolerated. What the legal system does or does not do to this criminal will send a message to everyone else about whether or not this kind of behavior is going to be tolerated.
Also, the guy said he was upset because her delivery vehicle was blocking his driveway. Apparently, he lacks the patience and/or intelligence to realize that such blocking in only a very short term event, and that the driver and vehicle will be gone within a minute or two.
This guy is clearly not the kind of person who should be allowed to own a gun. He is too impatient, and too irrational, to be owning a gun.
I agree with the author insofar as I think the unfortunate driver or any third party witness would be well within their rights to pull out their own gun and dispatch on the spot, the man who first pulled out a gun.
Somehow I doubt that if the races were reversed (which is usually the case) the author of this Tweet (whoever he is) would be calling for the perp to be executed.
The twitter poster should ponder what happens when the penalty for merely threatening someone is the same as for murdering them.
Threatening people with a gun is a serious offense. Prosecute for that if the evidence is there. But charging someone with a crime they didn’t commit is not what the “rule of law” is about.
The judge should look at the sentences that are handed out when the races are reversed, and give this white man the same sentence.
Equality before the law.
I assume this story will get a lot of coverage.
Reverse the parties, and no so much.
The reality is that the race and sex of either party is not relevant. The fact that someone unjustifiably pulled a gun on someone else is all that matters.
Of course, in the upside-down bizarro world that we live in, the irrelevancies ARE the story.
645 homicides, mostly committed by black people, is an "average year" ... with a case clearance rate in the teens ...

I am absolutely sure you are correct and there is no way possible that it could be anything else.
This is definitely not a good thing, but the statement above is way over the top. A crime yes. But no one was actually injured. Not to level of a death sentence. It is a statement based purely on emotion.
FedEx blocked my driveway for 6hrs.... Idiot came up during black ice and I’ve got a 900’ steep driveway. FedEx email said my package would be delivered 2 days late do to weather. It was in the single digits ... Driver didn’t comply, got half way up, slid half off the driveway into a tree.
This moron is in shorts and a shirt, weighs close to 350lbs easy.

Agreed. Those “you kids get off my lawn or I’ll blow you away” types should not have guns. I’m not sure how you’d control it, but even one incident like this should make that person subject to some kind of review.
Amazingly they got the race in there so fast or omitted all together.
