See the Future of Global Depopulation – a Giant Empty School
Next Big Future ^ | March 8, 2024 | Brian Wang

Posted on 03/10/2024 12:32:39 PM PDT by george76

A youtuber shows a day in life of a Japanese Elementary School with only 8 students and 11 teachers.

The school has about 20 rooms and had over 400 students in previous generations but is now virtually empty.

There are about 11 million akiya, or abandoned homes, in rural Japan. Here we see a nearly abandoned school.

The video shows happy students and teachers but you can also feel the sad decline. The school built for more capacity. The number of teachers should have been 20-30 and the number of students was and should be hundreds. All of the nearby schools are also nearly empty. They talk about a weekly soccer game that is 5 on 5 with first and second graders from each school.

Lack of fertility is an extinction level event over a few hundred years. The number of fertile women nearly halves every 30 years. In 300 years the number of fertile women would be 1000 times less.

...

Global population collapse takes women and children first and Japan is leading the way. China, South Korea and many other countries are following. 30% of the people live in countries with falling population and over 80% live in below replacement including India.

Japan is leading the way in a crisis of population collapse. Japan had peak woman about 53 years ago in 1970. This was also about the time they had peak children.

During Japan’s first postwar baby boom (1947–49), there were 2.5 million births a year. In the second baby boom (1971–74), there were 2 million annual births.

Japan Could Be a Vulnerable Population by 2050..

Japan’s population peaked in 2008. By the time Japan’s overall population peaked, the number of fertile women had fallen in half. The total fertility in 1974. The number of fertile women is dropping and the number of babies each is having is dropping. Japan is now at less than one-third of its peak baby years.

Humanity is on the Path to Being Endangered..

A species is classified as endangered when its population has declined at least 70 percent and the cause of the decline is known. A species is also classified as endangered when its population has declined at least 50 percent and the cause of the decline is not known. I would argue that we do NOT have a clear understanding of the decline. Yes, we know women are choosing not to have children, but this is widespread to every moderately industrialized nation. Urbanization is also anti-baby and anti-family.

Japan is going from 122 million people today to about 100 million people in 2050-2056. By 2050, its population could fall below 100 million, of whom 38.8% will be 65 or older. IF there was magic policy to double Japan’s birthrates then instead of a working age population of about 58 million in 2050, Japan could have 72 million working age people and a population of about 120 million.

Population Collapse Will Be Worse than the Black Death..

A global fertility collapse could be worse than the Black Deat The collapse could take 50–60 years instead of 7, and that countries with a total fertility rate (TFR) of 1.0–1.1 would lose 30–40% of their population. This would be worse than the 30–50% population loss in the hardest-hit European countries during the Black Death.

Feminism led women to fall for the Tom Sawyer trick (i.e. getting others to whitewash the fence for him). When the workforce doubled, salaries stagnated. So now it took two incomes to make the same as one. Supply and demand.

There are so many other reasons why the birthrate it low including easy access to contraception and abortion, women not wanting to marry men who make less than them, women waiting too long to have babies, social media and dating apps ruining couple formation, bad/uncertain economy leading couples to be too afraid to have kids they fear they won't be able to properly support, etc.

I would love to sell my home and downsize. The issue is that in order to stay near my kids, I would net almost nothing from the sale and purchase. There are very few small houses a available.

You might be able to get a thirty to thirty five year old Japanese woman.

Nah.

Under 30 is going to be holding out for a Japanese man.

Over and she might settle.

Since the house is vacant, I get that for free right?

I’m an engineer, so I’m a benefit to society…

In Cambodia the schools were turned into prisons during the Killing Fields days. Japan could do the same thing for(paying) foreign governments. The Japanese are smart enough to put them to work.

It could work for us too. Recidivism is low there.

In Japan, the androgynous male population would rather have sex with a robot doll and watch anime, than spend time with real women.

Sure, belittle the men and call them androgynous.

Meanwhile, "real" women have been using Tik Thot for a decade to show just how many of them are unworthy of a relationship.

All by design, I’m thinking. And the few “affordable” housing options will be up for grabs and offered first to the new, ‘more worthy’ citizens coming across our border as we speak, courtesy of Big Government ...doling out more of your tax dollars. I’m just waiting for their attempt to force people with an extra bedroom to house these “new citizens”. If Trump doesn’t get back in, it’s coming. It’s their historic pattern. And their tyranny is already on display.

Free no but probably rather cheap.

If you do your best to learn Japanese and fit into the local community you will be accepted.

Your neighbors will be ready to tell you if you are falling short. Make the effort and they will tolerate you.

Like everything else there will be up sides and down sides to the change.

I have a solid background of Star Blazers, RoboTech, and Ghost of Tsushima...

Japanese doesn’t seem hard to me. Its highly syllabic.(Chinese is nonsense to me)

I don’t know the spelling, but Su-mi-ma-sen...Ni-hon-go-ga, sko-she, wa-ka-di-mas...

That’s from one day of Pimsleur two months ago... :)

Just google search 空き家バンク and you can peruse the huge amount of nearly free houses in Japan. The only problem is 50% of them are in dire need of repair.

Out here, often the approved grannie smaller homes are being built on the parents and sometimes the grandparents lots for the older generations.

Put Denver and similar blue cities into housing “new citizens”after the election and for sure if Biden gets to stay in his grey house.

Exactly. They’ll get the populations of the rich, prosperous countries to self-destruct first with abortion and threats of global warming/cooling/whatever and convince women to not have babies.

Then they’ll let the sub human ferals they are importing eat each other alive.

The gangs and cartels vs the islamists will be pretty brutal.

Western society has told the population that everybody needs a college education which puts kids in debt, often with useless degrees. Feminists tell women they are oppressed, men are toxic and kill your unborn children. The government encourages single motherhood and free money for no work. Squatters can steal what you worked a lifetime to build. Kids hate their parents, their country and their own gender. The few normal (aka traditional) kids have a hard time finding one another and the culture tries to tear them apart. It doesn’t exactly give one hope.
