So, now there are two options for Western countries: Either turn back the clock to the pre-Sexual Revolution days, or make having kids a competitive career choice, and that means money, big money, for having kids.

Just look at North Korea. They have decided to reject modernity. Their birth rate is 1.82. Kinda low but still high compared to USA and especially South Korea which is now at 0.84.

I doubt there’s a single First World country at 1.82 via their native population. Even 1.5 is rare these days.
