Tonights Sci-Fi Listing:
7/6 - Firefly: Showing repeats and showing the previews for the movie Serentiy..
8/7 - Stargate Atlantis: Special 2 hour season finale. Atlantis has much improved... Ford is gone, the ship awesome, so far I give Atlantis a B..
10/9 - Battlestar Galactica: Pegasus.. The Battlestar Pegasus appears.. Well Battlestar Galatica started off slow, but it is getting better.. I give it a B
Where do you have your car worked on?
You have to remember, their principal enemies were always better hackers than the Colonials.
In general, the Colonials only allowed very limited application of computer assistance, and Adama less so than normal.
They adapted their weapons to the enemy. That doesn't say they didn't have the capacity to do differently. It's a variant of how the Russians always built bigger nukes than ours because they knew they weren't as accurate, so in order to destroy a target they had to build them big enough to make sure the target was within their accuracy envelope.
Even with their procedural safeguards, the Colonies fell because the Cylons were only able to get access to Colonial computer networks through espionage.
Nah, Baltar represents the worst in a man....selling out for a piece.
I wish. Jewel got married last year. That, and I'm not sure my wife would like that. ;-)
New Holiday declared by BSG fans-- Love your Toaster day
The domestic partner complains that there is no one to like on the show. Inclined to agree, tho I have a small fondness for Ms. Starbuck.
Hey, don't get mad just because somebody doesn't like your favorite show. That's juvenile.
No argument from me. It's almost too obvious she is a cylon. She superficially resembles an older version of Six, and I even think Six hinted so much to Baltar when he first met her (who is my favorite character in the whole series).
My top picks for Cylons are:
Gaeda
Dee
Mrs. Tigh
Nonsense! Cylons are much more sophisticated than a common "battle axe" ;o)
Apollo is male. Starbuck and Boomer are female (like I'm supposed to believe that Katee Sackhoff is an uber-pilot). Also, Cain, who commands the Pegasus, has undergone a gender transformation. (not a spoiler - it was in last week's preview)
I watched both shows. The new BSG has some good points - the new Colonel Tigh is easily the best character on the show - but I'm somewhat surprised that on a show that has undergone a dramatic PC transformation, there isn't a single major role for a black actor or actress.
On the positive side, the new version has no Boxey. :)
So true. The original BSG should have been paying royalties to "dreck."
"Firefly" was great excellent tonight...so far, so good. :D
Yea, Firelfy is excellent! I especially liked how Capt. Reynolds stood up for his "crew" with Jayne at the end.
Too bad Ron Moore doesn't half half the talent of Joss.
Good BSG episode, and what a nasty cliffhanger. Grrrr.....I know they're supposed to hook a viewer, but that was unfair.
The only question that I had throughout the episode is how did they find out that #6 on Pegasus was a Cylon?
New episodes in January at least, so it's not that far off.
Please add me to the SciFi ping list. Thanks!
:) ...maybe the day, the 'New' BSG (12/10/03?) premiered.

Actually, I think he'd have concurred. That pic is sorta reminiscient of the lady he married when he was about 50 (she was about 20 or so!)
I'm rooting for the toasters.
I'm with you. Give me Babylon 5 or Firefly any day.
