I don't feel bad, just a bit frustrated. It should work. I did work. But it isn't working now. I am confident we will figure it out...eventually. I just wish I had a bit more knowledge when it comes to computers and now projectors.

"I did work" should have read: "It did work" but technically, since I couldn't get the thing to work I guess "I" didn't work either lol.

I do have some naive suggestions (that you've probably already gotten).
If you don't have manufacturers manuals for the projector (and for the computer),
get to the websites for them and download those (usually .pdf) or
check for FAQs for them.

I'd think the manufacturer(s) probably have troubleshooting guides
to lessen the need to deal with phone-calls for help.
