What is this, the movies? In real life, an unarmed woman is unlikely to be able to take on 6 violent thugs.

She may have been in shock- how many people are exposed to violence on a regular basis? Let alone, a group of thugs beating your husband nearly to death after he defends your young daugther from being molested? We don't know whether she had the ability to reach a phone.

the whole point is, standing around watching it happen, she's gonna be left alone to face them. standing around puts her daughter FURTHER into harms way. cuz now, she's still there, the kid is still there, husband is out of the picture, and there's 6 thugs that could choose to come after her.
help or scram.
and also, yes. a set of parents enraged for having their daughter assaulted in front of them stand a very good chance of taking out 6 guys, or at least putting them to flight.
