‘In Rainbows’ by ... wait for it... radiohead
I missed the hype when it came on line and am just getting to it now on iTunes. I also recently downloaded a bunch of Rush’s greatest hits. Gotta love ‘Subdivisions.’
Seems so. The only time I ever heard anything from them was when they appeared in Dangerfield's 'Back to School.'
I love listening to Three Days Grace right now and my neighbor is trying to get me in to Five Finger Death Punch. Of course, always like listening to Zepplin, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters, and NIN, with a litte Rage Against the Machine thrown in....
John Hiatt. Compilation of the old Capital years stuff.
I seem to recall seeing that band under a different name "Moving Sidewalk" in Houston at a club called The Cellar somewhere around 1869 or so. Shortly after the Civil War, or at least it seems that long ago.
On my iPod I have It’s Alive, Loco Live, Leave Home (the expanded version with an early live performance at the Roxy), and parts of Rocket to Russia, Too Tough to Die, End of the Century, Road to Ruin, Greatest Hits Live, and Adios Amigos (Born to Die In Berlin rocks like nobody’s business).
My eardrums haven’t had this kind of workout in a long, long time.
Pantera - Cowboys from Hell
Man they look like such poofters in that pic. Geddy laughs about how they use to dress all the time. My favorite band without a doubt is Rush, however I’m listening to Tori Amos, Cindi Lauper, Bryan Adams, Nickleback, Metallica, Genesis...
It’s the 13th anniversary of Jerry Garcia’s death, so right now I’m listening to the GD cover this buddy holly song.

Hows that for ruining a thread.
Seriesly I'm a Southern Rock fan. Outlaws, Marshall Tucker Band and the rest even though I'm a Yankee.
My favorite is was and always will be Tull.
My current second favorite band is Alabama 3, the guys that did The Sopranos theme. Freaking brilliant. Not sure if they’re rock (they started because two guys at a party realized that acid house techno had an excellent structure for country lyrics, then they mixed in some blues and gospel just to make it interesting) but don’t care either.
And I’m prepping for the Judas Priest/ Heaven and Hell concert at the end of the month.
I listen to a lot of prog rock.
I recently got the 30th Anniversary Edition of an album I had not listened all the way through for years, and have been listening to it non stop.
So as a sub-theme of this thread, I am curious as to what us geezer types consider the greatest prog rock ever?
Something by Floyd? Yes? King Crimson?
I will get back later and reveal my choice.
Floyd.
Period.
Blue Oyster Cult: Joan Crawford has risen from the graaaaave:)
Which one? Wishing You Were Here? DSOTM?
Just asking opinions here!
“Melissa” by the Allman Brothers is on my MP3 loop right now. “Time Stand Still” by Rush was the last song played.
