Five found dead in Maryland home, police say Relative reportedly finds bodies, all believed to be family members

MIDDLETOWN, Md. - Five people have been found dead in a home in northwest Maryland, police said.
A family member found the bodies about 9 a.m. Saturday inside the home, NBC News reported.
The Frederick County sheriff's office said the victims were believed to be family members.
No further details were made available.
Investigators were at the home, and authorities planned a news conference later Saturday afternoon.
Animal control removed a live dog from the house around 11 a.m., according Jackie Waite, a reporter with NBC affiliate NBC25, who was on the scene.

Just sayin if the dog was in the house (article does not state if it was or not) I would think the dog would have died too or first.
Yep your right the word gruesome pretty much sums up something horrific happened.
Also white Catholics could lead one to believe home invasion unless the family was Pelosi Catholic.
It had to be a pit bull. Murdered them all while they slept no doubt.

It looks like the cops are calling it a murder suicide now.
Another article states the family member who found them had gone to check since no one had heard from the family in a few days. So, “gruesome” could be due to decomposition too. With the dog alive, it still doesn’t sound like carbon monoxide. The article also stated the three children were presumed to all be under age six. Prayers for the family, and their loved ones no matter what happened.
I can understand (boy, can I understand!) why you’d want to kill a spouse who had left/betrayed/bankrupted you. I can’t understand why anyone would want to kill their children, too.
Or, if you truly believe that killing your spouse is the right way to go, you may think that the children would suffer forever having one parent kill the other, so save them the grief and kill them, too.
Or, the parents decided together to remove themselves from the world, and agreed that they trusted no one to care for the children.
Many parents who kill their children believe they are saving them from some future suffering.
Chicago Tribune reporting the use of a knife and a shotgun in this horrible tragedy.
Two boys, 4 and 5 years old and one little girl, 2 years old killed as with the mother, 33. God Almighty.
Evil is running free and flaunting it lately.
From the same culture that teaches some children are "better off aborted."
Can anyone doubt that a disrespect for God and the rights He gives all children is the root of this evil?
I can't decide if more of this kind of thing is actually happening than it used to, or if these incidents are just being reported more, to underscore the need for gun control.
Either way, it is depressing.

Have to laugh at the parlance. I had to think about it for a minute. Local news would at least call it “Western MD”, or perhaps “western-central MD”.
5 bodies is often considered “gruesome” in and of itself.
