i'll try to drive to Dallas's public library, borrow their copy, make copies of the relevant pages & (the next day i have time); post them here.

when i DO, are you willing to:

a. ADMIT to everyone here that you are BOTH a BIGOT & a KNOWING LIAR,

2.resign from FR & apologize to everyone here for being a VULGAR-talking, ignorant,prejudiced, stupid, LOUT

3. promise that you will NEVER, for any reason whatever, return or attempt to return to this forum under ANY screen-name, EVER???

note to all: that would be worth going out of my way to do (including taking off from my regular family responsibilities for). it's a five hour trip to Dallas from here, one way.

You present an intriguing proposal, and I am inclined towards it, but it just isn't good enough.

You see squattie, you approach this from a point of personal animus and I approach if from a point of truth and honor. All I ever asked of you was to substantiate your claims. All of your demands of me have been to conform to your cockeyed way of looking at things.

In answer to your earlier rants, yes I am aware that both Non-Sequitur and Bubba Ho-Tep claim to have copies of Blackerby's book. I believe them because they both have presented scanned pages from said book. You have not. You have not presented any evidence whatsoever. Instead, you ask them to show scanned pages that they say do not exist.

What it comes down to is this: it is your claim and the onus is upon you to "put up or shut up" - provide the evidence that backs your claim or withdraw it. Over the years you have instead chosen to obfuscate, bluff & bluster in your bizarre style, and generally weasel out of standing up and being a man about it. It's no sweat to me - it just makes you look bad, not the rest of us ;'}

A central part of your liberal "shoot the messenger" attack has been to attempt to demonize your perceived enemies by race-baiting, accusations of bigotry, and any other wacko insults you can dredge up. That's OK by me since anything you claim that you cannot prove redounds against you and not the target of your insults.

So, you aren't willing to do the thing that you know in your heart that you should be doing anyway - backing your claims - unless there is some sort of outside chance that you can damage another individual in the process. Bully for you! What a man!

I do not know for a certainty whether Blackerby's book contains the statement that you claim or not but I believe Noni and Bubba and do not believe you. So it truly is a gamble for me - who to believe. If this is the only way to ascertain the truth I am willing to ante in.

Here is my counter proposal:

Provide scanned pages of Blackerby's Blacks in Blue and Gray where it states that “100,ooo- 150,ooo” (presumably that means 100,000 to 150,000) free blacks volunteered for the Confederate Army and I will:

1. Admit to being a "VULGAR-talking, ignorant,prejudiced, stupid, LOUT" since there is at least a nugget of truth there ;'} (Of course the same can be said of you squattie!) No one cares but I would be willing to apologize anyway if that makes you warm and fuzzy. I cannot admit to being a "BIGOT & a KNOWING LIAR" since I am neither.

2. Promise that I will NEVER, for any reason whatever, return or attempt to return to this forum under ANY screen-name, EVER.

Oh, and one other thing...

Since you are so insistent on making this personal and since you place so much emphasis upon my leaving, it is only equitable that you do the same. Up until now all I have wanted was for you to man up and do the right thing. Now I want you gone as well.

3. If you do not provide the above mentioned specifically stated evidence that you are already honor bound to provide you will "log off" and go away, never to return to FreeRepublic.

Easy enough, right squattie? I don't even ask for an apology from you since I realize that it would be insincere anyway.
