I just planted cilantro/coriander seed not long ago
Sigh. Mine is not doing well at all. I scattered seeds in an 8" pot, and only 4 plants have emerged. Time to try again.

Full sun. A nice stand-alone accent perennial.

Thank you, thank you. I know EXACTLY where I am going to plant that. It will go in the corner of one of my interior beds in the veggie garden. I’m going to anchor those interior, perimeter beds with perennials and annuals in between. If it can be divided, I have a couple of places where it can go.

Thank you. I found the same article, but I don’t see there anything about sun or shade. For some reason, I was thinking shade because I bought it at the same time I bought hostas.
I wish I could remember who sold it to me. It was the end of the sale, and she was really pushing it on me — not that I have very much resistance. It was a beautiful, healthy plant — quite large. I think I paid only a couple of dollars for it — less than $5.

Gorgeous. I’m surprised that all of the churches are not courting you to join their congregations — or, maybe they are!

The vidalia onion vinaigrette sounds yummy. Was it bought or do you have a recipe?

I was totally unfamiliar with even the name of the plant when you asked, but I found the following regarding penstemon: Well-drained, enriched soil, with a pH 6.5-7.0, produces the best results. Grow in full sun in cool climates, but give afternoon shade where summers are long and hot. Plants prefer cool weather.

Thanks for the tips on using PhotoBucket. I was able to load 22 pictures easily this morning. Either I had missed it, or they changed the upload procedure since I first opened my account and quickly gave up.
Now when I learn to post photos on FR, I will be able to share. :)
To: rightly_dividing
After you upload each photo to Photobucket, you can mouse over the area under each photo in your album and four different codes will appear. The third one, listed as "HTML code" is the one you need. Right click on that code and copy it, then paste it into your comments. Viola! You have just posted a photograph.
Remember that any time you erase a photo from your Photobucket account or move it into another album ... your link to that photo in threads will be broken.

Wow, that is easy
To: rightly_dividing
before anyone asks, that is not my garden, it is a garden from a house in Greenfield Village in the Henry Ford complex in Dearborn Mi.
To: JustaDumbBlonde
Thanks, that was even easier than loading it to PB was.
To: rightly_dividing
You’re very welcome ... I’m glad that I could help.

Add some sunflower nuts and some crumbled bacon to that delicious sounding salad, and I’d be in hog heaven. We love that vidalia onion vinegarette that they sell at Sam’s Club. Mix half and half with a can of cream of mushroom soup, pour over some browned chicken in a caserrole dish and bake @ 325 for 2-4 hours. Falls off the bone. Serve over rice or pasta — particularly hearty in cooler weather, but enjoyable any time. Now I’m hungry ... ;)

My tomato seedlings drowned in the rain! Is it too late to start more? Should I go buy plants? Dammit, this year was the highest seedling-survival-rate I’ve ever had. I bought two extra packs of stakes Friday, set the trays of seedlings on the deck Saturday, and they drowned in the rain.
