Does anyone know if Caliguri defeated Murphy? - 5th District CT

Caligiuri camp is staying optimistic as Murphys lead continues to grow

Campaign volunteers are encouraging people to stay optimistic as incumbent Democrat Chris Murphys lead over Republican Sam Caligiuri widens.
Were still within 5,000 votes and Waterbury is still on the board, one volunteer just said over the microphone. Well look back and laugh at how nervous we were three hours ago.
The latest results showed Murphy took Avon, Cheshire. Farmington, Newtown and Plainville.
The latest totals I am getting is Murphy 73,561 and Caligiuri 68,674.
Thanks Tom -
Damn - it’s so close - I sure hope Caliguri takes it, but don’t have much faith that it will. Too many clueless libs in CT.
^^^Yep. Can’t believe we will still have to see Blumenthal’s f’n mug either. :^(
from ct post tweet
ctelections10 It’s still close. Dem. Chris Murphy takes New Milford, but Rep. Sam Caligiuri takes Southbury. And Waterbury is still out.

agreed we have the same problem in CT-4
this is pathetic. DeBicella has conceded with a 20 pt lead.
ctelections10 Dist 4: It’s still Debicella 60 %, Himes 40% with 10 percent of precincts reporting.
I know - I cannot BELIEVE the idiocy of people in CT. And my town (New Milford) went for Murphy :(. Stupid is as stupid does....
new milford is my town - very disappointing though not surprising.
sorry
ctelections10 U.S. Rep. Chris Murphy supporters expect his victory speech soon in 5th District race against Republican Sam Caligiuri. Murphy gets 3rd term
glad to see Heritage Village go Republican again. This used to be a solid Republican seat when Nancy Johnson held the seat.
damn...oh well, it’s better in other parts of the country at least. guess i live in a lib stronghold. thanks for the updates!
