Kansas ended its 19-game conference losing streak and likely sealed the fate of Texas coach Charlie Strong in the process. The Jayhawks shocked the Longhorns 24-21 in overtime to notch their first Big 12 victory since Nov. 8, 2014. Kansas kicker Matthew Wyman hit the game-tying 36-yard field goal with seven seconds remaining to force overtime. And after Texas quarterback Shane Buechele threw his third interception of the game to open the extra frame, Wyman drilled the game-winner from 25 yards to clinch KUs first win over Texas since 1938. Yes, folks. 1938.

Throw in KK at TTU. We got no D.
You think TTU can come up with the supposed buyout of almost $10 MM?
Charlie Strong is a good coach. He will get snapped up somewhere and be successful again. Just was not a good fit for Texas.
I can see him going to Louisiana State.
My favorite part of the game was when someone on the sidelines or in the stands yelled, “You suck!” during what was an otherwise relatively quiet time as refs were checking to see if KU had converted on 4th and 1. That was the highlight of the game for me as a Texas fan. I’ve been rooting for the underdog Jayhawks to win one for ages...just not against Texas or Baylor. Man, my teams had a lousy day yesterday.
Congrats to Kansas on a huge win! Too bad they didn’t have more than a handful of fan there to witness it.
Fired on the plane! Right up there with Kiffin being fired from USC on the tarmac.
I’m sorry for Coach Strong; he seemed to be truly loved and respected by his players. But yeah, I think we all knew the jig would be up for him this season; the KU loss was just the resounding nail in the coffin.
Good luck to him! He will be a great fit somewhere. The fact that Louisville is still doing well in the third season without him tells me he had a really solid program there.
Shane Buechele should have followed his father’s foot steps and played 3rd base.
Sheesh, when was the last time that all of the Big 12 teams from Texas lost...and BOTH of the teams from Kansas won????
Crazy day yesterday.
Highly paid executive positions opening up after Trump victory

TRUMP Baybee!!
You’ve got to be kidding?
Nope. I say make him be OC and hire defensive-minded head coach.
That game was a clinic on how to lose a $4 million dollar a year job
Don’t cry for Charlie... he get’s a $10MM buyout.
This may be KU’s first victory since 1938 but for a long time, I don’t think these 2 met regularly.
Teasips taken down by the bird. Son graduated from KU back when it was a decent college and not quite so liberal and we now live in Texas. Our family says YEAH for the Hawks.

...
Supposedly, they have more money than anybody in college football.
Austin Statesman now reporting he is to be/has been fired, announcement likely tomorrow:

Texas should hire Les Miles right on the spot before some other team gets him
