The unsurprising moment a shark bites a man after he tried to grab it by the tail was caught on video. Footage shows two men trying to pull the small tiger shark that was hooked on a fishing line towards the shore near Johnnie Mercer's pier in Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina on June 29. The short clip shows one of the men trying to grab the shark's tail, but he was unsuccessful and it was able to swim a short distance away.

I remember fishing off a party boat out of Bar Harbor, ME.
One of the kids on the boat caught a shark that might have been 20 inches long.
The kid asked the old Maineiac captain - “Could he bite my finger off?”
The Captain replied - “Only as much as he can get in his mouth.”
“You don’t tug on Superman’s cape, you don’t spit in the wind, you don’t pull the mask off the old Lone Ranger, and you don’t mess with that fin.”
Every other story about the dumbest thing anyone ever did can always be appended with “but at least I didn’t try to grab a live tiger shark in the water with my bare hands”.
I've released dozens of 4' or better sharks and it's no big deal but wrasslin' one in waste deep water? That's drunk or stupid or both.

LOL, yeah! If you have them on the beach, can put your foot on their head and grab the hook...that isn’t crazy, but as you said, wading or swimming into their domain to handle that task????
