I had a similar tibial plateau fracture this past summer. Spent 2 weeks in the hospital. Fortunately, due to my paraplegia, there was no pain or shock, but it was still a BFD to fix it right. I’m damn glad I wasn’t out in da bush when it happened!

Politics aside, I was impressed that a movie person got that deep into the boonies in a situation in which she wasn’t encapsulated in a very safe, professionally managed adventure tourism environment. She was born in LA but grew up in Kentucky, where her mom was a country singer. She’s obviously not afraid to get off the road and venture out into the deep woods. Accidents happen.
