The Fort Sill army post in Oklahoma took to Twitter to share a video of a rocket system being used to shoot out candy to a group of children who gleefully ran to get their hands on their share of the sweets.
"How else would you expect us to give children candy on Halloween? FIRE MISSION!!!" the military base captioned the video.
One Twitter user wrote: "Am I the only one who finds this grim and utterly tone deaf... a weapon system designed to rain utter carnage (including cluster munition with hundreds of bomblets or tens of thousands of shrapnels) is used to shoot candies at children?"
Another added: "I'm not sure if this is super cute or super twisted," while a third chimed in: "Everything that’s wrong with America in a single tweet."

Sounds cool.
My grandfather was part of the occupational forces in Berlin after WWII.
Bombers dropped candy as the Soviets blockaded the city. Said it was hugely successful.

It would be liquid if not vapor by the time it reached the muzzle.

Look up Lt. Gail Halvorsen, he was the C-54 Pilot who started what became Operation Little Vittles, He staryted dropping cand bays and gum to kids using little parachutes during the Berlin Airlift.

That was the last time I went to a game out there...in the nosebleed seats in the stands, there was someone next to me threatening to stab someone else to death.
My buddy and I decided to watch the rest of that game from a television in the concourse, and that was the last time we went to a game out there.

When I was a kid, I would have thought that this was the greatest thing ever!!!!
Big guns and free candy. What could be better?
To: BenLurkin
The kids are probably all military brats from the army base that trains artillery for the entire US military.
I couldn't think of anything cooler if I was one of those kids.
