Amen, brother. FReepers have big hearts and, like myself, hate to see posters banned or suspended.
But, sorry folks...I'm a 25-year regular contributor here...and I've seen all types of personalities come and go.
It pains me to say that HG was a consistently nasty piece-of-work...and, unhappily, he was no credit to our fine website with his constant negativity and personal attacks.
The ownership and moderators of FR are fair and consistent in their judgements - and they should be supported, not maligned.

He is/WAS the absolute worst thing about FreeRepublic.
He harassed away dozens, maybe hundreds, of people for posting or even simply commenting about something he didn’t like.
Nasty.
I hope he stays gone.
