Mercedes-Benz debuted a $1 billion residential luxury tower in Dubai, where apartments are expected to cost as much as $10 million each.

Dubbed “Mercedes-Benz Places,” the upscale auto company announced its venture into the real-estate world on Instagram on Thursday, which it’s doing with the help of Emirati developer Binghatti.

The 65-story building is expected to rise approximately 1,118 feet above downtown Dubai’s bustling metro when it’s complete in the fourth quarter of 2026, according to United Arab Emirates-based business news site ZAWYA.

For reference, New York City’s Chrysler Building stands 1,048 tall.

It’s home to 150 apartments, starting at $2.7 million, with the promise of “unobstructed views of the world’s tallest tower,” the nearly 3,000-foot-tall Burj Khalifa, according to Mercedes’ website.

In the past I don’t doubt it. Now after divorce I would doubt it given all the negatives/risks with that.

From what I read (as I recall it was something he said), he was seeking a GF after the divorce because he was lonely for female companionship.

Of course, nowadays we have no way of knowing if this is the truth or just something attributed to him (i.e., a lie).

“America can have cities as shiny and clean”

That would mean banning the Democratic Party—and of course that would not be very polite of us....

Lol.

The $2.7 million is an inside cabin with a view of the garbage chute.

The good news is that most guys are happier than a billionaire like Gates. Either we can get a date or we have a long-term relationship via marriage.;-)

,,, that pic of the tower showing the Benz symbols clustered together looks like the grille on my 2015 CLA180 shooting brake. Now, Benz will no doubt sell these apartments easier than their electric cars.

We used to build world class cities.

And then the bill for the cotton came due.

If thieves’ hands were chopped off it would be amazing how quickly the cities could be restored.

“We used to build world class cities.

Excellent point and very well put! Yep, we should have picked our own damn cotton!!

Places like Shanghai, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, etc. make Manhattan, LA, SF look like the dump they’ve become.

As for Europe, they has no idea the trouble they’re buying themselves inviting all the africans and islamists to invade their country, though they definitely should. All they have to do is look at what’s become of us, and they didn’t even get any cotton picked!!

And to think whites used to kick ass and rule the world. We’ve become spineless, groveling, pathetic, self loathing creatures with not an ounce of pride and self respect. Such creatures will not long survive... nor do they deserve to.

We are guilting themselves into oblivion. At this rate, we’ll be the next Neanderthals.

See my tag line.

I think the real money (covert) is building bunkers in New Zealand and the islands just south of it.

,,, Ted Turner bought a sufficient piece of land in Patagonia some years ago. Peter Thiel and Roman Abramovich bought in New Zealand. There’s more visa applications from high net worth individuals these days - and there are bunkers.
