According to the POLITICO email Donald is defending Mike Johnson ...

AIN’T EASY BEING GREENE — Turns out it wasn’t a momentary lapse of judgment: DONALD TRUMP yesterday evening defended Speaker MIKE JOHNSON for the second time in as many weeks amid a swirl of speculation about his future atop the House GOP.

After spending the day holed up in a Manhattan courtroom (more on that in a second), the former president told Real America’s Voice radio host John Fredericks that Johnson is “trying very hard” and “a very good person.”

“Well, look, we have a majority of one, OK?” Trump said, extending Johnson some grace and echoing the speaker’s own explanation for working with Democrats on a host of issues. “It’s not like he can go and do whatever he wants to do.”

Trump even praised Johnson for turning some foreign aid to Ukraine into a loan (a maneuver we previewed as a Trump sop weeks ago) and for standing “very strong with me” on urging NATO countries to up their defense spending commitments. More from Meridith McGraw

The remarks come just a day after Rep. MARJORIE TAYLOR GREENE (R-Ga.) vowed on Fox News to force out Johnson one way or another. And it came just hours after MAGA chieftain STEVE BANNON claimed that Trump was in fact “furious about what happened” with Johnson’s support of foreign-aid spending and that he had been manipulated by “cuck political operatives” into backing the rookie speaker.

What does it all mean for Greene? Under her theory of the case, conservative lawmakers are home in their districts right now getting an earful from their constituents about Johnson’s betrayal of the MAGA cause, bucking them up to join Greene in a motion to vacate when they return to Washington next week.

But after first hearing Trump say, “I stand with the speaker,” and now, “I think he’s trying very hard,” it’s going to be awfully hard to deny that Trump is being crystal clear in signaling what he wants — or rather, doesn’t want: a messy election-year coup that throws the House into chaos and again reminds voters what MAGA governance can look like.

“Mathematical reality...
Republicans cannot win a majority in the U.S. House of Representatives unless we elect 5% to 10% RINOs.
Republicans cannot win a majority in the U.S. Senate unless we elect 5% to 10% RINOs.”

We won’t have control without candidates who can unite the MAGA and RINO factions. The failure to unite left us with 4 Democrat Senators in Georgia and Arizona, which had been 4 Republicans.

For the sake of committee chairmanships, Johnson’s R behind his name makes a big difference.

I don’t like what he did. I think the CIA got to him.

But we can’t let our anger/emotions outweigh a methodical approach to getting out of this mess. We HAVE to get Trump elected and then work to get rid of the CIA who is using its powers to corrupt and control everybody we send to DC.

The committee headships are a very important part of the equation. They are accumulating the evidence which will (hopefully) be used in Gitmo tribunals once Trump is in office.

We can’t lose sight of the full game plan. The Deep State is doing a full-court press on us, but we have to keep our heads and stick with a plan that can actually work. The country is at stake.

Sometimes I feel that way. My sister feels that way all the time so she doesn’t even want to know what’s happening in the world.

But we have a fighter in Donald Trump. He’s not giving up; I’m not going to give up.

And if we got rid of the CIA maybe the people we put in DC will grow into the role God gives them. Amazing things happen when you clear the garden of the weeds that are choking out everything good.

You’re not going to get rid of the CIA, barring a Revolution.

And Revolutions tend to be bloody.

"Complain about Biden, stop attacking Republicans!"

Self-awareness is not your strong point.

That's nicer than calling you a hypocrite, I guess

I think election fraud mostly did that. And we need to stop it from ever happening again.

The globalists amplify the anti-Trump voices to demoralize us and to provide plausible cover for the election cheating.

But uniting is important, and I think we need to make sure that everybody knows that the only chance to get rid of this country we don’t even recognize any more and get back to being America is to vote for Trump. If people can’t see that by now, or if they think that “mean tweets” are the worst that could happen to us, then they are totally demoralized and really, really need us to be strong when they can’t.

I agree with most of what you said, except one thing: I don’t believe that America actually voted for this. I believe the true result of the election was Trump by a landslide.

The 2020 election was stolen.

The American people allowed Biden and the Democrats to get away with the steal.

The 2022 election in Arizona was stolen by the Democrats and the Arizona voters let them get away with it.

They are going to try to steal the 2024 and we shall see if the American people let them get away with it.

The CIA is bloody too.

A Nuremburg trial at Gitmo could go a long way...

The American people had every avenue for finding out the real results cut off from them, because we are a captured nation. The Deep State has us captured. We are not even America any more.

We need to work our butts off to make sure that the vote is so overwhelming that they can’t steal it. We need to have election observers all over the place, who REFUSE to be kept from seeing what is happening. We need to clean out the voter registration rolls. We need to work with our state legislatures to require voter ID.

We need to stop being afraid of showing our support for Trump, so that his overwhelming lead is so visible that nobody would believe it if they tried to steal it from us.

We need our oversight committees to keep coming out with the proof that J6 was a setup to frame Trump and his supporters and to make sure that election fraud would never be investigated. We need to keep pushing the newly-discovered evidence out to the general public.

Maybe the weapons to Ukraine were already and secretly provided and this is just payment for those weapons? Remember, the money stays here. Then this closes the account with Ukraine. So in a month when the Ukrainians have gone through it all and Zelinsky is screaming for more. There will be no more unless they pay up front.

It’s a dangerous play because it risks alienating supporters.

Supporters aren’t going anywhere.

Here’s an article about what is claimed on X about Bernie Sanders being told to rape a young boy on camera or else his family would be killed. https://wltreport.com/2024/04/23/is-this-exactly-how-compromise-members-congress-warning/ The post is by a woman who claimed she was sex trafficked by her foster parents and was in the basement to be abused at the same time as this thing with Sanders happened. She came out with her claims in 2017, remembering the event in NYC somewhere around the late 90’s.

https://wltreport.com/2024/04/23/is-this-exactly-how-compromise-members-congress-warning/

She notes that the only way to stop this is if those who have been threatened and those who have been abused come together to tell who it was that forced this to happen.

If the floodgates could be opened and it is found out that these operations were carried out by FBI and/or CIA, I think that also would go a long way toward forcing accountability on those agencies.

I don’t know whether these allegations are true, but as she says, it does seem suspicious that Maryland officials retaliated against her so badly to try to shut her up about the allegations. Considering the template seen in the Omaha child sex trafficking ring used to threaten DC politicians (which I linked to earlier), collusion between the perpetrators and both local and federal law enforcement is to be expected.

Trump publicly supported Ronna until he gained the leverage to dump her.

I agree you can’t trust what Trump says. I know that’s not exactly how you phrased it, but it’s what you admitted.

I hope he wins his court cases, because he’s being selectively prosecuted, and that he wins the election, because he would be better than Biden.

But you should never, ever, use the man as any sort of barometer on what your principles should be, or what we as a party should be doing, because he will flip on you in a flat second if he thinks it’s politically expedient for him to do so.

His positions are clearly driven by national polling, period. If Americans now want abortions, he’s pro-abortion again. If they want funding for Ukraine, like they now mostly do, he’s suddenly for Ukraine funding.

Mike Johnson is turning out to be much the same way. I guy who talked really tough at times, but didn’t deliver when it really counted, and blew with the wind instead.

Has MTG figured this out, and will she stick to her word to oust Johnson now, is the question.

how realistic is it that they are able to maintain a one seat majority for the next seven months ? If they had a couple of special elections which they would win, then maybe it might be worth trying. But as it is, something is bound to come up, and they lose the majority anyway.

I think this is the correct analysis, and find it interesting coming from such a a strong Trump supporter. Not that we will lose the House for sure, but we very well might, and keeping Johnson in place is like we already have.

But the bigger point you’re making is, we need politicians to stand up for our principles, not just talk a good game but then play politics when it really counts. This goes for Johnson AND Trump.

And whether people like Ukraine funding or not, THE ISSUE is he failed to stick to his promise to keep any funding for it tied to US border security. This is what most people should be upset about, as I am. That’s where the true sellout occurred.
