Today, @COVIDSelect released a staff-level report recommending EcoHealth Alliance President Dr. Peter Daszak be formally debarred and criminally investigated as a result of his actions prior to and during the COVID-19 pandemic.

So, a bunch of politicians who have either fallen for misinformation or pretend to embrace it because they think doing so enhances their careers, have written an antivax screed full of the same lies and half-truths that we’ve been seeing flooding social media since before the WHO even declared a pandemic.
The government has plenty of scientific experts. Did they even bother consulting with them to get explanations of the real science?
I remember the first time I had to write a scientific research report for Congress. I was told to keep the writing simple, at a sixth grade level.
These idiots demonstrate that even keeping at a sixth grade level might still be too hard for some Congresscritters to understand.
It’s sad to see Republicans become gaslighters. We already have that from the Democrats, we don’t need more of it.
Wow a staff level report, I'm sure the DOJ will jump right on this.
In this case debarred appears to be correct. Debarred = prohibited.
True, but the same was the case with Nuremberg. We need this . . . and much more.
Sod Off troll.
He was involved in fain-od-function research in China because doing it in CONUS was illegal.
And it bit him on the Donkey and he got caught.
The corruption is numbing. Business as usual.
ABOUT DAMN TIME! FAUCI UP NEXT!
Brix, too. She recently bragged about lying regularly to DJTrump and when he issued orders ignoring them.
We need something like Nuremberg trials. With the hangings, too.
thanks I think you’re correct- he’s a doctor, not a lawyer
my mistake
(don’t tell anyone, it’s the first one I’ve ever made)
Barectomied.
If I change out the Firestone tires on my car for Discount tires, am I conducting “fain-od-function” research on my car? (I’m using your misspellings.)
Or am I testing whether Discount tires will work on my car in a manner comparable to the Firestone tires?
Because the research that has been widely mischaracterized as gain-of-function is the virus equivalent of switching out the tires to see if one brand of tires will work as well as the other brand. They put bat spike on a human virus and tested to see if it still caused infections in human cells. In order for something to be gain-of-function, you actually have to give it a capability that it did not have before. Like when I engineered yeast to make mouse proteins, I did gain-of-function research on that yeast, because yeast doesn’t normally make mouse proteins.
Get stuffed Troll.🚨The National Institutes of Health admits to funding gain-of-function research in Wuhan, China🚨@RepDLesko: "Did NIH fund gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology through EcoHealth?"

Tires are not virions; they do not infect a car; and they are already standardized so you know in advance which models of a tire will fit on the rims of each vehicle.
No mutation is involved.
Mutation of a virus—in this case, say, the sRBD or the entire spike—whether by direct genetic editing or repeated introduction to new hosts and cultivating the results repeatedly to effectuate increased affinity to certain cellular receptors on a new host—
is NOT just taking an unmodified set of tires and swapping them onto the rims of a second vehicle to evaluate driving performance.
You are deliberately lying through your teeth by using a mixed metaphor to attempt to mislead readers as to the enormity (biological warfare) of what was actually done.
Troll.
Stupid phenomenon keyboard.
RBD (receptor binding domain) not sRBD (fat ffingers)
Stupid otto-corrupt.
Phone not phenomenon.
We have Francis Collins in testimony before a a Congressional Subcommittee.
His lawyers, or govt. lawyers keep him from answering questions about whether he’d been conversing about Daszak, or EcoHealth Alliance, or whether the NIH had been funding the Chicom biolab in Wuhan, with various govt. officials (pp.26 ff).
There’s a great section where he weasels around defi itinerary of gain of function, and where he (like you) dismisses claims of bioengineering, and like you, uses the specious excuse that it wasn’t designed from
scratch.
And he admits neither he nor Fauci were aware of any specific science behind the six-foot-rule the six-foot-rule (echoing that Karen member of some committee or other months ago on TV admitting they made the number up). P 225-226.
Lots of good reading.

In that article, look for the link called “transcript”...
PS. Collins comes across as a total weasel to me.
