Jimmy Carter's grandson has revealed the 99-year-old former president is 'coming to the end'.

The Georgia peanut farmer and oldest living president has been in hospice care for more than a year after deciding to forego any further medical treatment.

Since then his beloved wife Rosalynn has passed away and he has been living at home with regular visits from his family.

Jason Carter said at a mental health forum on Tuesday: '(My grandfather) is doing OK.

'He has been in hospice, as you know, for almost a year and a half now, and he really is, I think, coming to the end that, as I’ve said before, there’s a part of this faith journey that is so important to him, and there’s a part of that faith journey that you only can live at the very end and I think he has been there in that space.'

anyone know how they do secret service in this kind of circumstance.

They probably have a roster of agents who hang around the facility one at a time. I doubt one is posted up at his bedside.

I'm just speculating. I honestly don't know. I doubt that Carter is much of an assassination risk.

“That’s a lie”

No it isn’t.

“ In 2006, the former president said that Israel’s policies in the West Bank were actually worse than apartheid South Africa. He followed the libel with his book in the same year, “Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid,” in which he claimed that due to “powerful political, economic, and religious forces in the U.S., Israeli government decisions are rarely questioned or condemned, voices from Jerusalem dominate our media.”

Sounds like he is his own home being protected by his protective unit.

“Jimmy Carter is a good man that I thoroughly disagreed with. And that’s more than I can say about most politicians these days.Biden isn’t worthy to shine Jimmy’s shoe”

He was also the second worse president in history, Joe took his place.

He was a good man but totally naive. If he were not naive he was an evil man. I vote for naive.

They stand out the door of his room. Once he dies, they go back to general secret security detail.

He’s not going anywhere. When the price of gas goes up, look around. He’ll be there. When you can’t afford groceries, Jimmy’s there. If you ever get attacked by a killer swamp rabbit, you’ll know: Jimmy Carter is still watching over you.

I doubt it was planned. However, he turns 100 in October so don’t count him out yet.

"Hospice is the epitome of a 'DNR.'”

That's very true. They wouldn't treat a urinary tract infection that my sister had, but they'd give her drugs to make her sleep. While she was still fairly alert, they were having a hard time putting a catheter in her, because she was fighting it. They asked me what I thought they should do. I told them to give her something to knock her out. They did, and they were able to insert the catheter without any problem. She never knew it was in her. Why I had to be the one to tell them that is beyond me.

>> Amazing timing, a big democrat funeral just in time for the
election.

If they need to fine tune the timing, the JObama regime is not above slipping someone into his room to strangle him.

I wonder if President Trump will be invited to the big state funeral?

Jimmah Cahtah is no “gentle soul”. Georgians, real Georgia citizens know him as a vindictive petty mean little man with fake religion on his sleeve and love of every Socialist dictator he ever met in the world, of which there were many who called him “friend”. A friend of Marxist Communists has no moral equivalence possible in the US, despite all of his preaching. Most notable of these tyrant dictators was mass murderer Fidel Castro— an era of absolute nasty exporting of Communist rule (see: Angola, a prime example) combined with drug dealing with Cuba as a national stopover raking in the cash, and eliminating all opposition trying to expose their criminal reign (Gen.Ochoa). Would recommend all here read Humberto Fontova on the subject of Jimmy and Fidel.

Here’s a photo to jog forgetful memories:
https://theconversation.com/jimmy-carter-in-cuba-46109

As a governor of Georgia he was disliked intensely and as a President his moral worldwide preaching reminded many of President Wilson’s idiotic crusade to “make the world safe for Democracy” (another one of those idiotic demonrat statements not unlike “our Democracy” which means THEIR democracy which is a government top down kleptocracy). The United States is a Republic which has forgotten the Founders, especially Benjamin Franklin. The word democracy does not appear anywhere in our Constitution. Which was ignored by the string of tyrants they have put up, globalist tyrants, destroying this great country.

Truth is a commodity in short supply about this failure— somehow being offset by the Worst Ever Obamaumao the First Kenyan, and revisionist history of the takedown of Richard Nixon (because of his successful pursuit of the writer of the UN Charter, on Alger Hiss- Soviet agent/Communist). None of these were possible without demonrat mobocracy. This is/was not a kind soul. An arrogant incompetent that’s just “not as bad” as obamaumao or his puppet Xiden. A little context to the naivete posted here.

Hospice is not a place, it's a program. There are facilities that specialize in hospice programs, but the recommended or preferred location is the patient's home.

My understanding is that "hospice care" is declared when the attending physician determines that the patient has 6 months or less to live. All therapeutic medication is stopped, and the patient is provided with painkillers and comfort meds.

At least that is my experience with hospice. That goes back to my mother in 2009 (Illinois), and my son in 2022 (Ohio).

Jimmy Carter was a terrible president but a good man. May he RIP when he dies.

History has a way of painting some people in a better light. We forget that he was a Jew hater who was pivotal at bringing us to this point in regards to the Middle East. I guess it has much to do with his Habitat for Humanity work, which was a PR campaign.

I agree. That and his breaking the longstanding tradition of not of meddling and criticizing his successors convinced me that "Jimmah" is not a good man.

I was just a kid when Carter was President, but I remember he was so terrible he turned my parents, who where up to that point diehard democrats, into Reagan Republicans.

I have a crystal-clear memory of my dad walking in the house on election day, hanging his head and sighing as he muttered to himself, "Forgive me dad but I just voted for a G-D Republican!" But I guess he got used to it because he never voted for another democrat because he ended up loving Reagan so much.

Hospice does not necessarily mean he’s in a facility. My mother was in hospice for about that same amount of time and she lived in a retirement community where she had lived for several years. She had a nurse come in twice a week, a hospice volunteer twice a week, and an LPN pretty much daily. I stayed over there especially towards the end about every night. She died in her home. It was a peaceful death.
