He was stopped at the point he was illegally in the lane that had oncoming traffic, refused to entertain the cop’s directions, and after a brief pause, surged forward and entered the entrance to the course while the cop was trying to get him stopped and was holding on to the car. It doesn’t make any difference where the accident occurred or if it was any accident in the area. There was traffic control and was well lighted by police cars, cops wearinbg visible vests, and no one else was going down that lane or he would have had to stop before he got clear of traffic and close to the entrance with cars in front of him. He was being directed by police and refused to follow directions. He broke the law. If he can’t wait and follow simple directions, he shouldn’t be behind the wheel.
