Neocons are the real anti-Americans
FR ^ | May 18 | Me

"It is our true policy to steer clear of permanent alliances with any portion of the foreign world; so far, I mean, as we are now at liberty to do it; for let me not be understood as capable of patronizing infidelity to existing engagements. I hold the maxim no less applicable to public than to private affairs, that honesty is always the best policy. I repeat it, therefore, let those engagements be observed in their genuine sense. But, in my opinion, it is unnecessary and would be unwise to extend them."

And who said this:

"Peace, commerce, and honest friendship with all nations—entangling alliances with none."

If the US had not fought in WWI there might never have been a WWII, Nazis, the Holocaust, or the rise of Communism.

The Spanish-American War arguably marked the end of the U.S. as a constitutional republic.

For all the flaws that may have tainted prior U.S. expansion efforts in the 19th century, at least they were aimed at expanding the U.S. and ultimately converting its territories to new states.

That all changed with the Spanish-American War. It was the first time the U.S. invaded and occupied foreign lands without having any interest in making them part of America.

neoCON globohomos worship diversity and open borders because they want one-world government with themselves as self-appointed elites controlling everyone. That’s why they support mass 3rd world immigration. So they can break down Western Civilization and Christendom and America’s Constitutional rights.

Don’t work so hard against a conservative President.

Seriously now....how did Reagan's political philosophy differ from that of "Neocons"?

Isolationism is coming back because the USA not longer has the industrial capacity to be a global military power

It’s living off the inventory of what was built in the past, and once that inventory is used up - that’s it.

Same as every other country in the West.

See post 56.

I just noticed you are fairly new here, you wouldn’t remember the warring of conservatism against the rino neocons and the libertarians.

It’s coming back because we see how the Military Industrial Complex sends people to their death just so they can pilfer taxpayer money under the guise of their forever wars.

Its a "fools errand" to support a rules-based international world order vs Putin's brute force, where anarchy will be the long term outcome?

See post 56.

There's your trouble. You've invented your own definition of "neocon" that isn't at all accurate.

Many wanted to make Cuba part of America. Agree about the Pacific.

“No, but every Russian who takes your phony “classical position” certainly is.”

Maybe Chad believes that the non-phony American “classical position” is more like Woodrow Wilson “Making the World Safe For Democracy” followed by FDR’s “Liberal Internationalism”.

I figure that Wilson was just spouting Progessive Era nonsense, which was also popular with Teddy Roosevelt. That Progressive view of America’s role in policing the world unfortunately ended up setting the stage for the even more destructive Round 2 of the 1914 Great War.

Round 2, WWII, cemented Liberal Internationalism as America’s official foreign policy to such a degree that current conservatives fight like dogs to protect FDR’s legacy. The old FDR era conservatives are largely forgotten, but when they are remembered they are denounced as evil isolationists harboring a phony classical position. Go figure.

But this isn’t going to matter much longer. America is a shell of what it was when Reagan defeated the USSR without firing a shot. In just three decades we have ceased to be an industrial power. The goverment is in debt to an astounding degree. We’ve imported so many alien peoples that there is no more common American culture in places like California. All of the happy talk in the world won’t change that.

There were losses among the military and mercenaries of our proxy areas of combat globally and some shots fired in invading Grenada and a few losses of individuals here and there and the peacetime deaths of an average of 2200 American GIs a year under Reagan, it was a high tempo time under him.

Right, so what is your better way to resolve international disputes, invasions like Putin?

What the hell do covid shots or rainbow flags have to do with international disputes between countries?
