I drove over to Beauvoir in 1978 while I was at Naval Reserve training in N'awlins.
It was pretty run down at the time and I thought that was a terrible shame. I am really looking forward to a trip back now that she is restored to a condition suitable to the memory of this great warrior and patriot.

My pleasure. You'll be pleased to see the addition of the Presidential Library that opened in 1996. It's fantastic. The State gave 4.5 million to help in it's construction.
