Molly ~~~ glad to hear the relatively good news about Betty .... I had her on my mind earlier today.

ALL ~~~ It seems that everyone has either had a very busy weekend

..... or has slept through the whole thing ......

Has Jane checked in any? Was she going to be traveling or busy with company this weekend?

I just rescued your lottery ticket from the bird cage. It is slightly soiled and a little damp and falling apart. I'll put the pieces in a zip lock bag and send it to you through the mail. The numbers are slightly smudged, but I'm sure that with some forensic expertise, the lottery people will quickly declare you the winner.

Great news, that!!! Parrot droppings are no match for my powers of persuasion -- we are a shoo-in!!!

Oh, and a dozen red roses with baby's breath shall be in each limo and at each hotel. Anything else your heart desires???

Good morning, Kay. How are things in your neck of the woods?

I have three pictures I'd like to post. But I'm having trouble getting the URLs. Anyway, one is of the oldest and youngest girls. Another is LD waving to the camera. Underwater. And the third is LD underwater holding a sailor's eyeball.

Roses, how wonderful. But, could you get yellow ones instead? Yellows are my favorite.

What about my peaches? Don't forget my peaches.

Oh yes, about the ticket. The bird put up a bit of a fight when I retrieved the cardboard. It seems it (too soon to tell if the thing is a boy or girl and I don't know where on a bird to look) liked the color. There are a few dimples in it. Is it the Florida lottery?

We're hanging on ......

We had some glorious rain Friday night and yesterday! It messed up our plans on yard work but we're not complaining because we needed the rain so desperately.

..... So we spent the day shopping yesterday ...... for everything from stuff for killing a big patch of poison ivy we discovered on the edges of our lot to birthday presents for grandson.

How is Mr. Jemian doing? Getting stronger each day, I hope .... and easier to live with .....

I just finished reading our local paper's report on the event, and they got most of it right, but I was definitely more thorough, and probably had a lot more fun too!

Yellow roses! But of course; I should have guessed that, my mistake (But aren't you from Alabama, while yellow roses are for Texas??? Is that not something like blasphemy down Dixie way???)

But nomatter; yellow it is!!! And as long as we can identify the serial number on the lottery ticket, we are good as gold, any peckerwood perforations notwithstanding!!

Forgot to mention: the past 2 nights have been clear for the hour or so after sunset, and so I was able to enjoy the rare sight of several planets together in the western sky.

Saturn, Mars, Venus formed a triangle, with Mercury, nearby, faint but visible closer to the horizon.

Above them all beamed a proud Jupiter.

Wonderful exhibit of God's handiwork in the heavens!
