What do y'all think of Michael Savage and his 'Savage Nation' radio show?

What do you think of Savage? I find him to be sensationalist and dishonest. He will defend someone and then a week later, 'savage' them. He lacks firm stance, he wavers too much. He is depressing to listen to because he is all doom and gloom. On the other hand, he has a nice format and when he's not spouting hype (those rare times, it is fun to listen him. Plus he is a liberALtarian, those people tend to be just right of anarchy.

He is consistantly true to the principles of borders, language and culture. I just wish the GWB could be counted on to support the same.

KMJ bowed to pressure and put on O'Reilly instead.

Reference the number of ads on radio, I have thought for years that there was a fortune waiting for someone who could provide a program that excised ads and compressed the radio program. If you cold install such a program you could spend two hours listening to Limbaugh instead of three.

He's great, intelligent, no fluff, liberals can't deal with any of his repartes. Is his last name really Weiner as one of the posters earlier said? I know he is Jewish, but ultra, ultra sensitive about it.

If you cold install such a program you could spend two hours listening to Limbaugh instead of three. I think it could be done by using a program that zeroed in on the host's voice, thus shutting down when ads come on. It's complicated, but the fortune awaits.

Borders! Language! Culture!
I agree with this totally. The fact that we're inundated with immigrants...totally true. When he SCREAMS at people, there is no better radio, ever. His inconsistencies...so what? You know the guy actually does care about what is going on. I know you all know I'm a huge fan and I can't convince you that are the naysayers. I don't listen to him all the time...BUT after work...boy it great to listen to him. He's a very smart man, very passionate...controversial, takes a stand on lots of issues that people are afraid to take stands on. He's trying to change things in his own way, the only way he can. Shalom.

About covers it for me!

Leaves the super salesman, johnny-come-lately golfer and name-dropper snob, Mr Limbaugh, for dead! Shalom! Shalom!

Just dosen't have radio talent Rush has.

Or is it that you like the way Lush toes the party line.

I would listen to Savage on my way home from work, about a 15-20 minute ride. That's about all I could take. His message of Borders Language and Culture are 100% correct, however. Savage's belittling of callers is tiring though.

I have changed my working hours and now catch Hannity on a considerbly longer commute. Sean comes off as a whiny geek, who often tries to outshout his guests, which, imo is as bad as Savage's rudeness.

what's your opinion of him?

He's a blowhard who only lets people who agree with him get in a word edgewise; otherwise, he talks over them and cuts them out. He thinks he's a really smart guy, but often shows he is merely educated, not intelligent.

I don't like him and don't respect him, even though there are some issues I agree with him on: I agree with his stated issues, but often not with the justifications he gives for supporting them.

In short: he's a loud, obnoxious joke that isn't even very funny.

Mike S. is just one of the team. Token conservative/liberaltarian.

I beg to differ. Savage is not like Hannity or Lush. Savage doesn't receive the RNC talking points memos and spew them for 3 hours like the others.

On a seperate note, Medved sucks, I have never heard such a terrible debater. He gets walked all over by people who disagree with him.

He is shameless, and he will climb all over the backs of giants like Rush Limbaugh to further himself, though never giving credit where it's due.

You must have missed it a few weeks ago when he praised Lush for opening the doors to other hosts. So, you would like it better if Savage gave credit to Lush all afternoon rather than talking about the issues?

Boy, that would be great radio. We could just hear callers when Lush isn't on the air, call in and say "Thanks for taking my call. I know Lush has been off the air for a few hours today, but man are we lucky he made it big in talk radio. Give him more credit. I like Lush. Thanks again for taking my call."

A biger jerk than Savage would be hard to find on the radio. If I saw him as a standard barer for conservatism I'd be ashamed of my team. He's mentaly unstable and ego centric to an extreem.I think he is doing more harm than good for conservatism. We don't need someone consumed with hatred and anger. That I beleave is repelant to many we should be trying to convert to conservatism. How much political power would Ronald Regan have amassed if he'd been consumed with anger?

I'll just keep my treasured memories of what a true gentleman like Jim Eason sounded like on a calm summer afternoon.

Wasn't he the greatest? I started listening to him years and years ago, my mom had KGO on all day while she would be working around the house. No matter the subject, no matter the weather, no matter what, Mr. Eason was always such a pleasure to listen to.

Oops ... pardon me. I don't think I'm *allowed* to post on a thread from these two.

I think he should spend more time giving dissenters the Conservative viewpoint and making them look foolish as opposed to throwing a tantrum, hanging up and making himself look foolish.

He could take a lesson from Rush on how to handle callers and questions, imo..

He's a lush. He's more republican than he is conservative, there is a difference. He reads the RNC memos verbatim and that's what he bases his show on. I think he actually criticized President Bush for the first time within the last few weeks, so maybe he's coming around.
