Inviting all FReepers to share their favorite junk food, snacks, and recipes.
I'm a sucker for ice cream and apple pie, but I don't cook anymore (unless you give me a pack of easy mac!)

We've got a local dairy that makes cinnamon icecream. Best stuff in the world with a piece of apple pie. Then there's peanut butter and bacon sandwiches, and stove top stuffing with cashews.

That should be FReeper's, of course.

Being a southern boy I really enjoy boiled peanuts as a snack. A real southern delicacy.

Anything added to Stove Top will improve it.

This is true confession time. I recently lost 35 lbs on the Atkins diet (low carb) and am maintaining by staying away from the usual high-carb snacks. I also moved to Tennessee a month ago and have a new favorite snack that is both easily available and within the bounds of my diet: pork rinds and cream cheese.

That should be FReeper's, of course. Shouldn't it be FReepers'?

Obviously, cheese-moose on tinfoil.

Blue Bell dutch chocolate ice cream.
When I become obese, I'll sue Blue Bell.

That should be
FReepers' I too am on an Atkins-styled diet (which for me is basically meat and vegetables, very low carbs, no sugar). Luckily I love green leafy vegetables. My favorite vegetable dish is sauteed cabbage and garlic:
Chop up half a head of green cabbage and several cloves of fresh garlic, then saute it in a pan with 2 or 3 tablespoons of butter, salt to taste, just a splash of white wine, and a few tablespoons of water. Make sure the heat isn't too hot or it will burn the cabbage, but at least make sure it is hot enought that the cabbage gets lightly browned, as this gives it a very good flavor. After sauteeing for about 15 minutes, turn the heat way down and let it simmer, covered, another 20 minutes or so, until it's all nice and soft. It's good to eat as is, or you can embellish it with a dollop of sour cream if you like. Enjoy!
Also, if you make this up the day before, then let it sit, covered, in the refrigerator, it tastes even better, because the flavors will intensify.
